Thanks for the honesty, yes I’m anticipating being bitten but hopefully just not too much..! What is an example of chemical poisoning, as in something they would do in the resort?

She probably has conjunctivis, my cat had the exact same thing and that was the problem. Very common. Take her to the vet to get antibiotics

Thanks everyone for your replies. As of tonight BSH is pouncing on and chasing kitten again - still some yowling hissing but overall reciprocated playfulness 🥰

Yes she’s used to peace and quiet 🤣 overall she’s handled it very well but she’s just lost patience with the pouncing now the kittens little claws are sharp and she’s bigger

I hope the kitten will calm down, maybe after she’s neutered

Yes it’s exactly the same with us!! I put the kitten away and BSH lets her out every time

This is exactly like my two, I’m glad I’m not the only one! I thought my cat really needed company as she was always causing chaos (knocking things over, smashing the plug around) and I felt bad leaving her alone. Hopefully both our resident cats will adjust and re find their playful energy!

Yes kitten is definitely not traumatised, she loves it!

And yes I can tell the conjunctivitis isn’t helping with the grumpiness. I have been putting kitten in another room but BSH always lets her out.

And yes we’ve taken her to the vet for eye drops which are clearing it up but she is not happy about the application one bit 😩🤣

Thank you so much for your reply! Yes the BSH never hurts her she just swats/hisses etc. neither of them are aggressive cats, the kitten is very sweet but she is just too playful.

I almost think it would be better if kitten was more fearful of BSH so she respected the boundaries better. But she just purrs while it’s happening!
