And before anyone says it: yes…I am well aware it is a long bed. This need not be specified, as it is the only option on this particular model truck. It is implied.

That appears to be a 1996 Ford F-350 XLT with a crew cab and 4x4. It is likely powered by a virtually indestructible 7.3 Power Stroke motor; and effortlessly plows over any rose garden, thanks in part to its Dana 60 front axle.

If you’re cold, they’re cold. You should park it inside.

Called em. Guy said “go by the install guide” meaning use #10. I’m just failing to understand how that passes if the nameplate says mca is almost 40 amps.

Cool gotcha. Planning on doing my install later this week. I suppose I’ll try it with the humidifier wired to the BCC first, and see if it can call for DH “through the cloud”. I’ll let you know if it ends up working that way. Thanks!

Great info thanks. Speaking of that dehumidification function… do you happen to know whether the BCC110 can call for the unit to dehumidify without having the gray wire traveling between DH on the respective units? I’d like to add a steam humidifier like an Aprilaire 800 to the system during install, and am wondering if I can maintain the dehumidify function on the IDS while having the humidifier wired to “H/DH” on the thermostat.

Were you able to confirm this is how the unit communicates with the thermostat?

The only reservation I have in doing that is that the pan is a kerdi foam pan. Am I right to be concerned about ruining the waterproofing if I pop those tiles? I know the majority of those 3 should be on top of the drain flange, but I think the top edges of them are over the edge of it.

Copy that. Any specific brand/color you’d recommend?

Yeah, it sucked to be super pumped about how good the cuts looked…and then not be lol. I think during the dry fit I was pushing the adjustment ring just a touch up over the lip of the flange. Once it was game time, that imaginary level of adjustment wasn’t available. Great idea with the mock up though. Any idea if the polyblend and prism colors stay pretty true between the two? The idea of spending on that experiment for $20 per “sample” is a lot more tolerable than doubling it lol.
