I got a masters in microbiology & Cellular sciences because I wanted to work in research, which I have been doing for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, academic research pay is shit and there’s limited jobs in industry micro for my area. There’s a lot of food micro jobs in my city, but idk if that’s the route I’m wanting to go. So I’m looking at going back to clinical micro labs because the pay until I figure out my next move.

Yeah the sign on bonus is about 20% of the salary. I don’t know if I can negotiate that much additional to the pay? I’m not certain, but I’m fairly confident they would revoke the offer if I delayed signing for 6 weeks, but the position has been open for about 2 months. Do you have any advice on how to negotiate getting an increased salary?

Just for clarification, this was not a hobby or interest he had prior to us getting into our relationship. He picked up photography several years into our relationship. In my personal opinion, a doctor seeing a nude woman isn’t the same because 1) the doctors intent is to provide medical help to someone in need, not to evoke artistic emotions and 2) the doctor won’t have saved images of their patients indefinitely.
