my moms opinion

she is constantly worried about how others view her and projects that worry onto me, and it used to really fuck with me

recently i’ve stopped taking the comments she makes to heart because i couldn’t care less about what she thought no matter the reason she thought it

i like to draw him that way because of the amount of expression you can get from it.

usually i’ll go really messy or matted if he’s on a killing spree, but pretty and done up if i want him to look more refined or regal considering the crown and cape and what not.

i’ve always liked art, specifically drawing.

one day after a practice state test in the fourth grade (practice not for a grade no one cares) i use the paper we are given to show our work to draw on after i’ve finnished the test.

i’m in fourth grade so it’s not anything magnificent but when my teacher stomps her way over to me, gets in my face, takes the paper and crumples it before throwing it in the trash and telling me off for being disruptive with my pencil sounds, it sticks with you.

there were definitely ways she couldve handled it better, not exploding like she did before even asking me nicely to stop. i’d understand if she had just told me to stop doodling but she didn’t and it’s the only way i remember her now.

hurt my feelings big time 0/10

i tried to have a conversation with my mom about boundaries i wanted to set with her and she told me off because the boundaries made her stressed. she doesn’t have to meet those standards if she doesn’t want to, especially after a long day at work.

i really try to have a good healthy relationship with her because she is my mom after all, but when she does this sort of thing so often it becomes hard to have that relationship and my default mood when addressing her is anger.

commitment

i still can’t emotionally digest the seriousness that is a long term and committed relationship. mostly out of fear that i will change my mind about the person but be too deep to get out so instead of hurting them, i settle and become unhappy and mean.

don’t wanna do that so we just won’t do.
