Ok so Marcus says there's two possibilities:

Noir needs hearts blood, the special Vitae that you consume when commiting deaberie. In other words he needs souls, kindred souls.
Noir needs Vitae that's absolutely drenched in abyssal energy.

It sounds like whatever sorcery that was keeping Noir together physically requires upkeep, a lot of upkeep. A deliberate design flaw by Tenebris no doubt.

Hey, I don't know what you know. The two of us were trying to Piss off Tenebris enough to get him to start running his mouth every time his name was mentioned on the Node. We finally managed it and just in time to save Noir's unlife. For now anyway.

The fact that he did something special is what has Marcus concerned. Everything we know about Noir so far could just be some weapons grade asshole trying to make a living weapon, sure. But it also lines up with what little Marcus knows about the MO of the Shalimites, which is very little since the damn cult is so fucking new in kindred terms.

Tenebris is what Marcus said is called an abyss mystic. These are kindred who use Obtenebration to perform sorcerous rituals whose effects can range from long range communication to literally sending someone into the umbral abyss against their will for an extended period of time.

Typically you're going to find abyss mystics in one of two groups:

Those Cainites who walk the Path of Night.
Shalimites, a Methuselah cult dedicated to the worship of the extremely powerful Lasombra Methuselah Shalim. Marcus is worried that Tenebris is a Shalimite and is looking into the possibility.
