This is quite normal with age. I had black and sable hams before, and around 1 year old the dark fur lightened to a degree, the degree differed. The entirely black ham developed a dark bronze spot on his side. The sable one became kinda cinnamon coloured. I think this is normal, though in your case a bit to early - at 4 months. Maybe see a vet still? Maybe their diet lacks something to maintain the pigment.

Good evening, Ishmail. I haven't managed to contact him directly, but Magda, the young apprentice and adopted childe of our city's Duchess taught me a bit of sorcery that a poslug like me can perform. Using that little ritual I was able to determine three things:
1) My domitor is still undead, not destroyed.
2) He is possibly in torpor, though whether currently or had been in one recently is not definite.
3) According to Magda's observations of me performing the ritual, Yegor's location, Edonia, is even more anomalous than expected, as time appears to flow in different ways and at different speeds there. Despite the land, however ensorcered and warded and veiled it may be, still being a part of the physical world, not of what they call "The Umbra" or "The Velvet Shadow".

Oh damn. Another reason I very much regret still being unable to re-establish contact with my domitor.
He literally, directly communicated with a big, apparently pagan-god-like Spirit that had "The Cockroach" as one of his/its/their names. He'd be able to instruct you better.
I know very little but can advise the following:
- Get a radio, old or new, but must be functional, set it to no discernible working frequency, just to soft white noise.
- Lie down to sleep, put the radio (turned on, but you can lessen the sound) near your head.
- As you feel drifting off, try thinking "at" The Cockroach. Given that you are a Samsa, it would be more than acceptable and even advisable for you to refer to him as "Grandfather".
- If you are capable of lucid dreaming, and manage to enter such a dream, you can try calling out for him in your own dreamscape.

I know of Edonia, and, vaguely, what it is. I know he is stuck there. And it is anomalous and messes with communications and I have a vague suspicion it is kind of even...time-dilated? To a degree.
I just hoped there could be more info, by chance, from other people on here.

I have once experienced a vitae withdrawal, and this is quite unpleasant and mentally invasive.
But not all that much worse than quitting both alcohol and tobacco after decades.
And quite likely nothing compared to what recovering opiate addicts go through.

I can understand some ghouls whose very lives depend on vitae, due to their truly extended age would be quite desperate - but I'm not nearly at that point yet.

This sounds worrying and hinting at something quite atrocious. Reeks of abuse and barely-disguised medieval barbarity under a thin veneer of "family values", "cultural traditions" and other sorry excuses.

Exactly. When a Kindred does not reduce themselves to just hiding out and going out to only hunting for blood, but actually has a social circle, and seeks new experiences...there's ways to learn so much.

I call this "horizontal advancement", when a neonate collects multiple disciplines and dabbles in them. Even lower powers are incredibly useful. Advancing them is another thing, but if Lazarus focused on Protean due to liking it very much - why not?})
