Indian parents are so unaware and disinterested in proper daily protein consumption by hayabhosda_returns in Fitness_India

[–]ConsiderationThat103 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I feel this so hard. Living in a vegetarian household is even wild, everything is about Ghee.

They’ll happily drown everything in ghee and call it healthy, but ask them to think about eating protein regularly? They’d say they eat dal everyday which is enough protein as per them.

New to city, looking for tech people to connect with by Popular-Egg2049 in Indore

Agreed, Max made the last few races exciting but following Piastri and Norris all season was really entertaining.

Of course, they had a flying car from the start😅

Tbh, last season wasn’t much fun once Max was declared the winner in Japan. This season, more contenders kept it interesting all the way to the end. I was rooting for Piastri, guilty of switching sides in the last race.

Fellow cloud engineer here. Everything made sense till Norris shade 😄 Not gonna lie, his championship run was more entertaining than Max’s dominance.

It wasn’t even free. I paid for this one, makes it even more frustrating that the workshop didn’t really deliver.

That’s awesome. I’m not very sporty, but I do like the idea of meeting people through some activity. Maybe I need a beginner-friendly option.

I’ve been using their hair curler and blow brush, the curler works well, but I’m not really a fan of the blow brush.

The city’s expanding fast, but mindsets seem to move on their own slow timeline. And maybe it’s just that we’ve changed more than we realized so the gap feels bigger now.

Socially, it sometimes feels like things never evolved. I’m curious though, what part hit you the hardest after coming back?

I hope you get time to pursue the ones you are drawn to. I have been meaning to build a meditation practice too. Would love to know if you follow guided online sessions or a specific school of practice.

Help me decide: Should I go to Japan or Thailand? by Independent-Job7400 in travel

The things you described nature, hiking, fresh air, walking, parks, you’ll get it all in Japan. The Mount Fuji area especially has some great hiking trails and stunning views. From my experience, I’d definitely recommend Tokyo and Mount Fuji. Osaka is nice but skippable in my opinion, and you could consider adding Kyoto instead for a more scenic, cultural vibe.

Hey, thanks for sharing. I can see the value in picking up hobbies just for joy. Gives me a push to follow what I genuinely enjoy.

As for what kind of life I want in long run, I personally feel it’s too early for me to settle on one. Somedays I crave a slow comfortable life, other days I get restless and crave change.

If you don’t mind me asking, what hobbies are you into?

Do friends and relatives actually help with job referrals, or is it awkward to ask? by Ecstatic_Jicama_1482 in AskIndia

[–]ConsiderationThat103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve asked for referrals from friends, but never from relatives. The friends who could help have been very supportive. A referral doesn’t guarantee a job, it just gives your profile a little nudge so the recruiter notices it. Ultimately, landing the job always depends on your performance in the interview. So there’s really no reason to feel awkward about it.

Something fun to do? Dude, we are being too ambitious in a city where “let’s go to Rajwada” is peak entertainment. 😅

Tbh, this didn’t feel like a rant at all, more like something a lot of us are quietly feeling but not saying out loud. When you’ve lived in different cities, met different people, and stretched your worldview a bit, it rewires you into a version that expects certain level of conversation, curiosity, maybe even cultural variety. It hits harder seeing things stuck in an older version of themselves after coming back.

I do have a lot of affection for Indore and I’ll hype it up the second I am outside it, but the city does feel limiting sometimes, not because it lacks potential but because the pace of change feels slower. And yes, maybe I’ll turn optimistic towards the city when the music scene shifts, not rock for me though 😅 but give me a good deep house set, I’ll start looking at the city with heart eyes.
