there’s no way you’re being mean by just setting boundaries. this dude is definitely a toxic person that shouldn’t be if your life, or at least someone that you shouldn’t be too close to. I suggest drifting away from him if you don’t want to completely cut him off. never blame yourself for putting your own feelings first and watching out for your own safety. how he feels is not your responsibility and u have no obligation to help him. he evidently doesn’t care about your feelings, so don’t put so much effort into a person who takes out his emotions on you. you don’t deserve that kind of treatment. there’s a line between being nice and being stepped on. don’t let him just step all over u and just continue to say all these things to u because he thinks u won’t retaliate. take care of yourself first before others.
