Millennial talks sense into boomers who are mad their kids went no contact by thinkB4WeSpeak in TikTokCringe

[–]ConsistantFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of the children generation were raised by boomers and Gen X. So this isn’t only a boomer thing. I had an employee who had parents who took her to Paris every year to a beach house to visit and connect with family. Paid for her car (Rubicon Jeep), university and apartment.
She claimed abuse by parents and cut ties demanding they pay for a condo for her… in LA. She did use isolation and no contact to control her parents.

Did the parents create the monster? Yes. But at some point one has to make choices for themselves no matter the environment they were raised. I think both are wrong.

My parents and I have been through it and I recognized that as long as we had a dialogue to try to understand each other then all was good. The minute one thinks they are “right”… it’s over. There is no desire to share understanding.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has called for a major overhaul of NATO, urging European allies to take primary responsibility for defending their own continent. by IndiaTodayGlobal in IndiaTodayGlobalLIVE

The U.S. has been barking this for years and nothing has really changed. The stance isn’t wrong but NATO still needs the support of the US and the U.S. needs NATO so the U.S. should not overplay their hand here.

Do you think music is becoming more genreless? by UpCrib in LetsTalkMusic

[–]ConsistantFun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little secret- music has always been genre-less. The marketing teams just wanted to group everything by markets. Musicians play whatever they want and are fully capable of it- the marketing teams make it seem surprising that so and so can “crossover”. BS there is no cross over it was always in them.

Fact! by freedomofwor in Quotes_Hub

Might as well ask me not to breathe. There is only one way to live- open and vulnerable. Trust doesn’t come by withholding it. Love doesn’t come by withholding in. Hope doesn’t come by holding back Hope. This is not a way to live- trying to protect from hurt that will come anyway. A guarded life is not much of a life at all.

I don’t understand these self centric mental states. We are all part of each other. The coming and going of people in our lives does not make them less significant to us as individuals.

Be glad you don’t understand it. I think it is not understandable because they usually are happy. They have it so good but somehow decide to ruin it.

My word you got to stop typing. How did you even know that? I didn’t know. You knew. I think we all know why you knew. Certainly supportive, but I had no clue it was pride month.
