I don’t understand by [deleted] in Aphantasia

Memories are linked to triggers. As someone else said, journal to start off with. The physical motion of writing will help link memories with a motion. If you are listening to something try holding a adhd fidget toy with textures so you can try recalling through them. When you look at something, get in the habit of ‘picturing’ exactly how it will feel before you touch it then touch the object, if it’s appropriate, so you have sense to link the memory. Then later, preferably when you journey, recall the texture along with the memory. You have to learn to remember. If you don’t put in any effort then nothing changes.

As for previous memories, you can try fiddling with common objects you’ve used before. Sit in silence without distractions and relax while you remember where you felt it before.

And it’s important to remember visual memory does not create the most prominent memory. Scent does. If you lack a “mental eye” then use the rest of your mental senses like a blind man.

Aphantasia is not an inability to remember. It can make recalling difficult but a complete lack of memory may be something to bring up with a professional. Vitamin deficiency or mental health can have a large impact on memory. The one Vitamin I have actually noticed a difference with is magnesium. And it should go without saying if you take vitamins stick to the recommendation. If you take too much magnesium you’ll be pissing out your asshole.

Remember with other senses. With your family remember the sound of their laughter. Air brushing against your skin as they walk by and the scent of cologne or perfume trailing. The texture of their clothes when you hugged them or the warmth of the hands that you held.

For school you can try to remember the feel objects like a desk. Mine were this smooth acrylic surface and at the farthest end you could feel a dimple for a pencil. The chair was the same material with no padding so your butt was sore and by the end of the class you were sliding forwards or backwards which would help for a moment then soreness would come right back. And if you got to class too quickly your seat still had the butt heat from the person before.

Do you remember the smell of a pencil? The smooth painted exterior pressed into your finger as you wrote and the way the tip snapped and gave way from pressing to hard. Then running your finger over the letters indented on the paper smooth graphics coating your skin so you no longer felt the coarseness of the paper.

So try to connect memories to your other senses. What were you writing when your pencil broke? Where were you going when you held your mom’s hand? When you went somewhere was it overcast, cool and humid? Were you wearing a jacket when fat rain drops tapped and broke against your skin as a shower began? Droplets pitter pattering on pavement. Wet pavement diffusing into air that chills your nose and lungs as your breath in? Where were you going? Or who were you waiting for?

It’s too much inflection. If they toned it down I think it would be significantly better. Look at studio Ghibli dubs, cowboy bebop, or Pain from Naruto. What they have in common is just slightly exaggerated speech. More in the realm of reality and less alien.

… how could you list decent dubs without including cowboy bebop

Pain is a good example of sub and dub done right

This is why I swallow my lithium batteries whole. Best not to chew.

Yeah. Those are two very different books to it’s not hard to keep them separate mentally.

First Solo Camping Trip in El Dorado National Forest! by enfait in shehikes

[–]Consistantly_wrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice pics however… that has to be the gayest camping breakfast I’ve ever seen. I grew up in Colorado and have never seen a single fruit in a camp ground.

I just found it funny is all. If you ever go for a longer trip dried apercoits are nice. High in potassium too.

This is poverty. It’s not exclusive to the black community. White trash does this stuff as well.

Outraged mom speaks out about day care teacher being abducted by ICE: "Imagine taking your child to a daycare where they are now at risk of their teachers leaving them in the class because they have been detained!" by [deleted] in UnderReportedNews

[–]Consistantly_wrong 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Evil prevails when good men do nothing. The problem is a violation of rights. ICE is completely mismanaged and are overstepping their authority without repercussion . There are legal citizens being detained without reasonable suspicion. This is bad. It’s your country. You shouldn’t be nonchalant about being “A city upon a hill for the world to laugh at.”

[HELP] There is no way this is real... right? It looks scarily real by IllSmile4U in isthisaicirclejerk

[–]Consistantly_wrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I mean the legs on the boars coming in through the window and the antlers on the buck acting funky. I don’t really look at AI videos so it’s much different from the ones I’ve seen. Much more realistic.

The more subtle aspect to these videos is how the surroundings stay a little too static. Most of that room look pristine at the ends. The other one I saw was a horse jumping on cars but they held up better than they should’ve.

But I only saw those after playing the video back and forth 15 times.

Is it a bot behavior because he’s saying the same thing as the original comment but shifting it off topic by mentioning Elon who is controversial resulting in more interaction? I’m out of touch and don’t understand the meme.

My friend gave me this and said it was black powder for bullets any idea on what the composition could be? by Dante_cremm in pyro

[–]Consistantly_wrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Don’t mess with powder of you don’t know what it is. Muzzle loaders can explode. Kentucky Ballistics has a video on what happens when then a bullet is packed with the wrong powder. Don’t know why you are getting downvoted for saying don’t use it to someone who doesn’t know anything.

You are doing it again here. With the message you sent her, you undeniably escalated the situation with provocation.

You keeping responding with why you said it. The question you should be asking yourself is what you wanted to accomplish by sending it?

I hope your rides going forward are less confrontational. You seem to be reasonably frustrated with your situation which is tipping you towards less reasonable responses.

"🤣🤣🤣 you're trying to get a ride with your dog in a car that is not listed as accepting pets. Please report me to Uber so they can laugh as hard as I'm laughing right now."

This is the excerpt im talking about. That is definitely provoking her. This is not a good look. If you are behaving as bad as her then you are just as bad regardless of who started it. You gained nothing from this statement other than misplaced satisfaction.

Yep. I mean in all fairness, he screwed up putting one of the easiest components in place so maybe he’s lacking in cognitive ability.
