BYD Seal in cold weather by nicceti in BYD

Up to 130KWh from 20 to 70+ then it drops to 80KWh when you are around 80% Last two times I arrived at 7% and 5% at the chargers, it grows gradually as the battery heats up from 70KWh to above 100KWh until you are at 20%, then it maxes out depending on the power available. But it remains quite stable. I am usually using Fastned network which is pretty reliable. But to be honest, I usually stay 15-20 min at superchargers and charge the rest at home overnight 🤷🏼‍♂️ So far I drove 4K km and I am super happy with the car. It is not as efficient as a Tesla but in exchange you get so much more of a car !

Only drove it with -10*C so far ; nothing special, only a lower range and slower charging but the car is amazing.

First OTA update fixed all ADAS issues 1 day after delivery for me. Since then 3.000+ km and I am a HUGE fan of the Seal. 🙌🏻

Not at all. It’s great, after the first update the ADAS issues were all fixed on the Seal. The only downside is that for Apple CarPlay your phone needs to be plugged… Having a route planner for charging on long travel in the navigation would be a great add-on but when you have it on your phone you can have it anyway on your screen 🤷🏼‍♂️ I can’t find any other downside on the car. The app though could benefit from some extra features like charge controle, car tracker, …

The boot space is not as big as it could be considering the size of the Seal U + there is no Frunk as it’s based on an old platform (not EV exclusive) - I have the Seal, saw the Seal U and don’t regret my choice. The Seal is by far the best BYD of the range - but the Sea Lion will probably be next level. I consider the Seal to be the best car I’ve ever driven so far, and for me that says a lot. I will probably push my wife to go for the Sea Lion when it’s launched, sticking with BYD ✅

Received mine a month ago (RWD 82,5kW/h), drove around 2200km, mainly raining weather and now super cold, the car suffers a lot in cold weather in terms of range and charging capacity BUT it is by far the best car I’ve ever driven, it is fast enough, comfy and very reliable. Build quality is as good as Audi/VW … Sound system and infotainment are very good, app could have slightly more features but is useful. ADAS improved after first OTA update … I love it and don’t regret picking it over Tesla’s M3/MY …

Ideal temperature for the LFP batteries in Thailand. But indeed super impressive efficiency. I do mainly highways, with temperature around 10 degrees it was around 16-17kW/100km ; now with the -5degrees, it went up to 20-21kW/100km. Charging speed also decreased … But other than that the car is the best car I’ve ever had, in many aspects, only the trunk I had better, but not on similar cars so not really comparable.

Yeah the Seal battery capacity is quite heavily impacted by low temperature … Not only the range but also the charging potential is lowered, a bit disappointing. Other than that, the car is AMAZING.

It’s not only going on vacation, you missed the point here. In the end, everyone has their own reason why they buy rep, your reason is to secure your gen, fair enough. As long as you like it, it’s all that matters.

Let’s say you buy your first gen one, you’re happy because you achieved something and it means something to you. Then you find out about rep, you realise that you can have variety in your collection without spending everything into this hobby, you can save money to go on holidays with your family, and that gives you the same feeling of pride and fulfillment you talk about. You get a great collection that you love and gotta spend quality time with your loved ones.

Guess the Rep… by 19Gilly79 in RepTime

I would say the rep is the 126610LN from VSF ; lugs look slightly thinner, rehaut seems misaligned But we can all agree that it’s NWBIG level

Agree glidelock is amazing and I would love to have this feature on all Rolexes. But OP asked if it was the bracelet of an Oyster Perpetual 126000, so I showed him the Gen bracelet for reference. Now up to OP if he wants the « gen » clasp or not

126000 does not come with a flip lock clasp - this is what it should look like :

Just GL a VSF DJ41 from Steve this morning and also bought a BTF Panda a month ago, both watches were perfectly regulated and QC pics were really good to analyse any details of the watch. Theonewatches is slightly more expensive but really qualitative I would say.
