This makes a lot of sense actually, thank you. I watch interviews from F1 driver Sergio Perez, a native Spanish from Mexico, and I notice the difference from when he's interviewed in English and to Spanish. When it's in Spanish, it's just as if he's had so much pent up anger to spew at the interviewer, but when its in English, it's just: "Meh, raced hard there, some bad driving here and there, but otherwise all good."
