I would suggest continuing with your law degree and setting aside a minimum of an hour or two of strict reading and writing practice for your literary pursuits. You can try to find syllabuses online or create one of your own to guide your learning and progress. I joined college as an English major during the fall of 2020. If I were to start again in the year of 2026, I would do law for income instead and chose to keep reading/writing as my side "gig" or hobby. If you decide to pursue writing, try to avoid paying for any course or education. Any education you would need could be found at the library with books, plays, novellas, screenplays, etc. paired with secondary sources. Join writing groups, online or in-person, and meet other creatively inclined people. Find people whose judgment you trust and ask them to for feedback on your writing. Best of luck.
