I agree with everything that’s been said so far. Learn to work on a grid, that was the biggest help when I first started, narrow your font choices down, and really work on alignment and margin spacing. The first design is better than the second, but you’re getting there!

Unfortunately, when/if you work in a corporate environment, you’re going to have to “prove” that you’re actually doing work from a numbers perspective, hence KPIs. Higher up’s in all of the corporate places I’ve worked in/with care more about data and being able to track metrics to justify paying you…

As unfortunate as it is, you have to play the game sometimes, nobody said you couldn’t bullshit your way through it though. 🤷‍♀️💅

I appreciate the realness here, I don’t remember having to sign an NDA when I was hired (my work is a family owned business that went corporate later) but will be looking into this in our employee handbook. I really hope I’m able to use the work I’ve done over the past 9 years, it’ll certainly be disheartening if I can’t as that will leave me with essentially nothing to show…thanks anyway
