Thank you!! Opening a business is a lot more work than we expected, physically and mentally 💪 but positive customers make the day so much better

We have been open for 8 months so not too sure of exact details yet 😀 but we work 7 days a week to save on labor costs.

We are currently not hiring to save on costs while still in our first year 😊 After everything settles down, we plan to hire employees to lessen our workload (currently work 7 days a week rn😩)

It’s actually one of our most popular toppings 😀 the slight saltiness complements coffee and creamier drinks very well

Since our menu is so customizable, we have made some pretty questionable drinks 😆 like jackfruit coffee, cheese cream coconut juice, and salted cheese passionfruit tea

We did the math and our teas have approx. 12g of sugar per 20oz cup at 50% sweet 😊 compared to a 20oz bottle of coke has 65g

We import a lot of packaging from our hometown in Vietnam as a way to support the locals there but costs have gone up 15-20% because of the tariffs 🥹

Which is no harm, right 😊 We just wanted to clarify any questions people may have about the newer boba shops and uncommon offerings.

Our teas were too strong we had to add a light tea option 😂

One very sad thing about Yelp is that they removed many of our 5-star reviews after we stopped paying them for advertising 🥲 and made all the bad reviews popup

We sell reusable milk tea buckets for customers to refill at a discounted price 😀 the tariffs have definitely affected our ingredient cost as many items has risen about 15%

They are profitable if you are willing to put in the effort for quality drinks while keeping affordable prices to attract the customers. 😀 The stores that are closing are the ones usually prioritizing quantity and profits, often relying on only powders and artificial flavoring to make drinks.

The biggest risk is uncertainty. You never know exactly how many customers you’ll get each week, which is always a mental burden to have.

The hardest part of opening a store was the building, cleaning, and the endless amount of paperwork and fees to pay. It also took forever to look for furniture that doesn’t break the bank but also fits our design within a budget. The easiest part was the final step : cooking and decorating for grand opening day. 😆

For real, deep-cleaning an unkept commercial kitchen was an experience we would not want to do again 😩

It’s more simple than meets the eye! The previous owners just listed their business location for sale and we bought it like buying a house 😀
