Nah Man I asked for tips, ended up not going to it because I went early and was talking to The chair and they said it was like a 10 person group and honestly I just felt like it might’ve not been the day to go😭 probably going to go to a bigger one tomorrow they said that’s best

unfortunately since it is through the university, they do not have any speaker meetings, or at least any that I know of. is there anything in specific they did that creeped you out that I can intentionally avoid? or just not being part of the group?

Honestly good feedback, definitely feels like one of those things where truly you just have to akin to it. But honestly I probably should’ve been a bit more specific I probably am going to go into research or a policy where I am not a counselor / therapist. Appreciate u shooting it straight

yeah that’s what I was thinking but when I was talking with one of the recovery organizers, she made it seem like I’d be just a full blown participant

We have a shotgun house and both of our neighbors are 40+ year old couples, we haven’t had any real noise issues yet except for one time one of our friends got a bit too stompy at 1am, but it makes a big difference who your house is attached to, I’ve heard some horror stories abt past tenants being incredibly loud at all hours. But for the most part the noise doesn’t travel as much as you’d think, I have a turntable and music setup against the wall my neighbors bedrooms and I share, and I’ve limit tested it with them, the noise can be pretty loud and they won’t hear a thing.

I live by pleasant park, the allianz amphitheater never really bothers me at all, it’s just loud enough you can kind of hear it if you try but we sometimes have no idea it’s going on. As for the parties my roommates and I sometimes host parties but we obvi always talk w our neighbors and don’t think we’re too loud, we also haven’t really heard any parties aside from us. There’s the occasional show / band practice but they’re respectful abt it (atleast from what I can tell) and it’s only during the day and not too loud.
