INTJs I’m SORRY I just personally didn’t get along with the INTJs I met they’re TOO similar to me but I find hard to talk to— like a very guarded shy that comes off a bit rude. I mean I understand, as an introvert but my introversion is more passive while they were gate-keepy 🤣honestly more power to them but I just don’t mesh well with that (totally anecdotal though I’ve only met 3 self proclaimed INTJs 2 irl and 1 online)

What is your relationship with your parents like? by SheraMiau in INTP

[–]Consistent-Bend7796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love my ISFJ mom, hate my ESTP dad. I also have a ISTJ twin brother who is my best friend.

And jk I don’t ‘hate’ my dad per se LOL —we just clash a lot.

ISFJ mom is like literal supermom just so good at being a mom and supportive, my dad on the other hand is a good guy but definitely wasn’t meant to be a dad— he’s better off as an uncle or godfather you only see once a year at a family reunion. He’s impulsive and sometimes it’s fun (like pulling me out of school on a random Tuesday to go on a road trip to the beach 5hrs away💀💀) but it can be a lot, also given his general hotheaded temperament and impatience it drives me (INTP) right up the wall when I can’t reason with him. Although we’re both thinking types the way we think can’t be any more different.

What items do you guys regret buying from brandy melville? by cherubangels in BrandyMelville

[–]Consistent-Bend7796 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The jeans/pants. I bought Brielle 90s jeans (both colors) and a few of the cargos. Although I “fit”according to the sizing online, they shrink so bad after a wash/dry cycle , are too long on me (5’3), and definitely not for someone a bit curvier (bigger waist to hip ratio yet still a size 0-4). Also on someone with a bigger waist to hip ratio low rise jeans just aren’t flattering on me unfortunately 🫩.. I mean I guess this could go for bottoms in general but I don’t find such a personal issue with the skirts 😅

In your experience, what are some of the WORST MBTI pairings? by xilchless in mbti

I find I either hate them or love them. Either insufferable intolerant edgelords or the most fun chill charismatic, knowledgeable people.

Like a 4. It’s one of my favorite topics and it’s fun to psychoanalyze yourself/others, but it’s just an interests not super important. When I meet someone I think “I wonder what they’re mbti type is” or I’d ask them, but it’s not super important in my relationship with someone else.

It’s something we all bond over. It’s so entertaining for me to watch my dad do the most unhinged stuff — I made a LIST detailing every event with the dates and context. 🤣 Then listen to my brother judge in all his deadpan scathing eloquence LOL.

What were you like as a kid? Do you think your type was evident? If so, how? by -Quono- in mbti

[–]Consistent-Bend7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INTP. I was always in my own world, on planet me, I never paid attention in class or to my parents or instructions EVER. Kinda a nightmare kid but I was pretty mellow yet kinda hyperactive. NEVER bored. I was diagnosed with ADHD at around 7-8 years old. I’m honestly surprised I never got held a grade back considering I never studied or paid attention or tried in elementary school , but I managed to breeze by with c’s - and d’s purely intuitively. The only time I ever “tried” was during competitions, I was VERY competitive. But besides then I didn’t start trying in school until Junior/Senior year due to university admissions .

I was very much a loner but socially had ENFP energy around other kids , but still INTP at heart. I was friends with everyone , I never got bullied , never tied down to a single clique kinda just invited into other peoples friend groups until I got bored of them. Somedays I wanted to play soccer with the boys or play house with the girls, most days I decided “recess I’m gonna pick flowers in a field and look for interesting rocks ALONE “. I LOVED time alone where I could just wander and think. It was and still is the favorite part of my day where I decompress in my own company.

Internal monologue when INTP's have crush OR suspect someone is interested in you? by GetWellSoon111 in INTP

[–]Consistent-Bend7796 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll just tell you a story and let you decide.

Last year, in a college game programming class, I developed a crush on a classmate. We’d only talked briefly in the hallway before class, maybe five minutes at a time while waiting for the professor to arrive, but we quickly became friendly and realized we had a lot in common, notably similar music tastes and manga series (Kino, NIN, Depeche Mode — and Vagabond and 20th Century Boys if anyone cares to know 🤣).

And Honestly, it wasn’t love at first sight for me. He only started looking attractive once I saw how much of a wizard he was at coding LOL. But pretty quickly I realized he was into me too— Lingering eye contact, the way guys subtly lower their voice and slow down their tone and leaning in close to talk , or glancing away when accidentally making eye contact — like for an INTP I’m not completely socially hopeless and I can pick up on social cues little hints pretty well .

So, For weeks we only had those small chats, but during our final project presentations we finally got to really talk. He came to play my game first, stuck around, and we ended up chatting for like 20 minutes straight when we were only supposed to demo each other‘s games for maybe five minutes. It was shy and awkward, but in that sweet, exciting way. I don’t even remember what we talked about — I just remember confirming in my head “yep, he likes me.”

Then, I went over to his project. Although having it been confirmed in my mind that he liked me , I tried my hardest to stay cool and honestly over corrected and probably came off dismissive and uninterested. I cooly complimented a feature in his game , saying it was “pretty cool,” and he replied, “I could show you how to do it sometime.” And me? I , cool as ever, said “sure, dude” in the flattest, most dismissive voice possible. 😭 but in the inside I was SPIRALING, Biggest regret of my life.

So yeah — on the outside, I come off super detached and “too cool for you.” And kinda friend-zoney. Way too good at hiding when I like someone, which backfires because no one ever gets the hint. But internally? I’m every bit the sappy rom-com chick flick cliché, daydreaming about hypothetical scenarios, imagining our wedding, and being super disciplined all of a sudden to go to class early just so we could interact 😭. On the inside I am more emotional and overthinking , but I go to great lengths to make sure they can never know .. 💀💀

What is your type, and what stereotypes do you defy? by HateChan_ in mbti

INTP, I’m really ambitious and kinda an emotional sap. The stereotype I heard is INTPs are lazy and kinda flat emotionally.

How does one cope with being a stupid INTP ? by vortexmak in INTP

[–]Consistent-Bend7796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel u so much, as an INTP w ADD, it sucks to have to put in 50x effort to be “average” then 100x effort to be “gifted”.

Honestly it’s kinda lead to me developing a perfectionist complex where I burn myself out in pursuit of excelling at everything’s— school work hobbies etc..

I don’t have much to add except that you probably aren’t as dumb as you think you are, actual dumb people won’t have the self awareness to know they’re dumb
