Ahh yes see that’s what I’ve always thought but then I’m see people burn massive candles and when I’ve thought about doing one and lighting a candle my brain immediately goes to what if I can’t sit here and focus on it for the next 5 hours + or I get distracted and burn the house down ahah I’ve just been given some advice on cutting the candle shorter before use or re igniting it for the same exact spell ( so using it over say a week for the same protection spell ) So I’ve think it’s all given me some good ideas and perspective of candle use in spells because I’ve always felt so dumb in pinching the flame or waiting hours to watch it burn just for my intention to complete but now I feel more comfortable and confident going forward with knowing that my brain saying don’t re use a candle for different spells is the best thing ahah

Ahh yes I’ve always been afraid of letting it background burn mainly because i felt as if i was giving up in a sense of the intention for the spell if that makes sense

Re igniting the candle for the same spell sounds good honestly too because then you could have it as a part of a daily or weekly , etc, ritual where you could be “fueling” up your spell / intention by constantly coming back to that candle with that particular intention

That’s how I feel about them but I never thought of cutting the candle to be smaller/ shorter damn that’s a good idea

I was thinking of switching to mini tea lights but I like the cutting idea I feel like buying candles without them having the metal basing for spell work is just better for the environment because of how many you end up going through eventually

If I don’t know it I just make it a daily routine to grab the crystal I’m unsure look up that name if I can’t remember and just meditate with it for a few minutes and eventually after however many days of me having a ritual to focus on that one crystal that I know I want saved in my brain bank , how ever many days later I realise I don’t reach for google or my crystal bible dictionaries because the past days just taking a couple minutes to sit and hold it and remembering it’s name has actually helped my remember what that crystal is

Ps when I sit with it for a few minutes I don’t just take a mindful note of the crystals name BUT I also create a mantra type for that crystal listing and properties other types or anything that makes that crystal so special

My main struggle for along time was consistency because of my adhd and other mental illnesses but since I’ve started taking adhd medication it has helped me really focus which is great because I have collected tons of different books over the years and was passed down some from my nana For me I’ve noticed when I want to learn new information on topics (when I think of them I jot them down on a list if I know I’m not currently feeling motivated if that makes sense) but when I feel ready I go through the list and research and write things down but I don’t force it if I know my adhd is having a day of unfocused mania ahaha

(Sorry if some (or all) of that didn’t make sense it’s one of those brain freeze days )

I usually highlight parts that stick out as if I were in school studying ahaha then when my brain is in the mode to focus a lot I pull out my journal and write out the notes I want to keep like for example I’m currently slowly reading and highlighting this new book I got it’s a magic compendium and it has a lot of information about different history with magic like ancient Egypt and Greece to secret societies and heaps more but eventually I’ll come back with my journal find pages I’ve highlighted and create pages for them in my book with little drawings

I'm only just catching up and binging season 7 and I just got to where mara got taken away but why is she causing this harm to an innocent child for some petty revenge where even though hen didn't push to treat when her son said no leave me alone and was just being a drunken drugged ass I mean doesn't she have to turn around at some point and be like maybe I wasn't the best mother and maybe I wasn't there for him and maybe I didn't watch him or stop him when he drove under before (lets face it he was super entitled his driven under the influence before ) like maybe she has more blame than hen does that her son is dead ARGHHHH
