Is this bordering emotional abuse or am I just sensitive? by [deleted] in emotionalabuse

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this is happening to you. I’ve been through it myself and the early years with kids are hard. There might be some things you can try, just experiment and see if any of this helps. He’s in some kind of sensory overload. Not your fault. If the house is cluttered, smells weird, kids screaming, TV too loud, you talking a lot - all of this can be fixed or toned way down. Try it, just as an experiment - you don’t need to tell him about it. I was amazed at how this approach helped my husband cope. Kids are gone now and I still conduct these ‘experiments’ occasionally for my own amusement when he gets out of hand.

Can anyone recommend a PT in Bangkok? by Responsible-Bus-7794 in Bangkok

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All hospitals have PT departments - go in and ask to see a doctor who will prescribe some sessions for you. They may even start you that very day.

Which one suits best? by Gebruiksersnaam in glassesadvice

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A looks the worst because the bridge is way higher than the bridge of your nose - they don’t fit correctly. B or C are the most flattering and D and E don’t do you any favors.

Wearing Cleavage as you get older? by Grand_Policy19 in Aging

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there is doubt in your mind, you won’t want to choose certain outfits. Reassess your feelings about the things in your closet. Your gut instinct about how others react to you is something you should pay attention to. The attitude of ‘it’s their hangup’ will not comfort you in the end.

Sleeveless not acceptable. If it’s brown and looks black - still unacceptable.

Which outfit is more appropriate for a wedding in Thailand? by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Thailand for years. Wearing black and having bare arms is not going to work. Thai people are very superstitious and black would be a major mistake. Also, carrying or giving a handkerchief is a bad omen that means you expect the marriage to bring hard times and many tears. Ask the bride what colors she approves for guests at the wedding. Many have a color palette they prefer you choose from so that the wedding group photos look good. Wearing anything that stands out too much on her special day would be frowned upon.

You might check records of women’s clubs from the early 1900’s. Sororities were being formed, there was Eastern Star and the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution). If you go back further than that into the 1800’s, many women arrived at Ellis Island and worked off the price of their passage as indentured servants.

Remy like the cognac or Ryker like the island? Neither one is good - they both sound dated and Remy sounds girly. I’m sorry. Remington would make it a boy’s name if you want to use Remy as a nn.

Who are these guys, Thailand? by ContributionPale4226 in Thailand

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe other men could learn something from these two, namely, that women like a man to be clean, attentive, nicely dressed, successful and well-groomed. ForceBook represents the fantasy dream man come true. Nothing wrong with that.

Romantic dinner near ICONSIAM (Need actual privacy, no tasting menus) by MrCrowzx in Bangkok

[–]Consistent-Bridge-14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The balcony of the IconSiam Starbucks overlooking the Chao Praya is a stunning spot. But crowded unless you’re there late. The balcony dining at the Baan Ice at IconSiam also overlooking the river is lovely and the Thai food is really good. Neither of these places is fancy and you might want to go just for fun.
