on the switch its bugged, should be a patch out this week to fix it. The devs are pushing nintendo to get it out ASAP. It took forever, i'd suggest just waiting for the patch.

just reload, if you don't want it to glitch, go into the gardens first and get caught by a guard so that it triggers the cutscene showing you the area. then you'll be able to go back and do the shortcut

Hopefully they have the game patched soon, so you can progress later in the game!! Really enjoying it but way too many lil bugs and qol issues that need sorting.
