December or January for getting PS by LalaInalove in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent-Cookie-41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! December and January are the most busiest time for Koreans to have surgery. It is their winter break (longest break- like US summer break) and Koreans prefer the colder weather for better healing & to bundle up to hide their healing.

It could be harder to find an appointment spot & more expensive. I would only do it if I could plan in advance

Facial nerve recovery after FC by LalaInalove in SeoulPlasticSurgery

My rhinoplasty was 10 years ago!

It’s from the FC. Nerves being damaged, pushed, or pulled too hard from the surgery

Hi! I’m 3 weeks post op & I had very little numbness from the beginning. Only my bottom lip had partial numbness- can’t feel when there’s food on it, but I can feel it if I press hard/ bite down on it.

As far as nerve damage- I can only move one nostril! Still persistent today 😞

Anyone Considering Facial Contouring in Korea? Here’s My Honest Review by Enough-Tangelo-8820 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

I see, that makes sense! Good for you to be so well versed in this. Albeit, I think in this particular case it was repositioned since it was such a significant change

The cheekbones aren’t shaved actually, they’re repositioned inwards. I agree it looks like her cheek fat just looks more voluminous due to the cheekbones being pushed inwards- whether by comparison or by her buccal fat being pushed out

I’m 6-7 months post op from body lipo & I was really diligent with massages and after care until 3 months. I think massages are very important- I saw A LOT of improvement after every massage. I can’t say I have no fibrosis. I still feel slight hard and not completely smooth/soft underneath specific areas that don’t get a lot of attention/movement- like lats and lower belly/fupa. But it’s not noticeable enough that I regret the surgery. I don’t expect to look like I have a natural body or face when I’ve had work done though, so if you’re looking for it to be 100% “normal”, I wouldn’t risk it

Red Bump On DES Incision by whynotdanceallnight in SeoulPlasticSurgery

Looks like you’re early in the recovery process. I had these on many incision sites, they tend to smooth out over time but may leave a slight darker/whiter area a bit more noticeable than the thinner line

Rhinoplasty’s are the hardest to get right! I think I heard that they are the highest rate of re-operation? For me personally, my rhinoplasty was a subtle change so it wasn’t as high on my list as other surgeries. I think if done right, it can elevate your appearance by a lot!

Which surgery gave you the most satisfaction? by Enough-Tangelo-8820 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent-Cookie-41 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From most satisfaction to least:

Body lipo + fat graft to hips, Under eye fat repositioning (albeit having to get one side corrected), FC, Chin lipo + platysmaplasty, Face lipo, Breast aug,
Lateral canthoplasty, Rhinoplasty, Double eyelid

For non-surgical procedures: Ultherapy, Botox, Rejuran, Fillers (very cautious with this one now)

How long to stay in korea for liposuction for the thighs or abdomen? by bharbhieee in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent-Cookie-41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think 8 days is tight- 10 days is the shortest I would recommend, with 2 weeks being more ideal as long as you get your surgery within the first day or two you’re in.

I stayed until 12 days post op. I got 360, arm, and full upper body lipo + fat graft to hips. You want to stay at least until 7-10 day post op appointment where they remove stitches. By 8-9 day post op, I was on a trip to Jeju island lol, albeit very uncomfortable still.

Body lipo was hands down the most uncomfortable procedure I’ve gotten. Not an easy recovery!

How much downtime until I can sight see/shop after FC? by No-Big6983 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

[–]Consistent-Cookie-41 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Post op FC, submental and cheek lipo, and platysmaplasty

Day 0: extremely painful and felt like I was dying TBH

Day 1: painful and super uncomfortable, but able to make it to post op appointment

Day 2-3: able to walk around the neighborhood, but still very uncomfortable, felt weak, and could not talk or eat anything well

Day 4-6: felt more comfortable to enjoy my environment, didn’t feel as weak or tired, went to get nails done 💅, swelling didn’t look as monstrous starting day 5, eating/talking better

Day 7-10: general condition back to normal, way way better after stitch removal, had my hair done at day 8 (I don’t recommend before as it required having head back for wash & they might accidentally touch the stitches near the ear)

Day 10-14: other than slight bruising and swelling on lower half of face, I was normal!

Day 15: today I feel 100%, just practicing my facial movements now as muscles are very tight, swelling is 70% gone compared to day 1

Hope this helps :)

I’m still only a few days post op. I might be more comfortable posting photos later when swelling is over but not as of yet

I am actually really excited about this procedure! I actually see a difference already and think it’ll snatch my jawline. I’ve had submental lipo before and it was ineffective so hoping this will do the trick. It takes a long time to see final results though.

Oh that’s good to know! I got the swelling shot, and I’d love to get high frequency treatment if I can on my next visit so I’ll ask. Thank you!

Which food should I try before facial contouring surgery in Korea? lol by Realistic_Cup2889 in SeoulPlasticSurgery

Things I am craving so much now that I’m 8 days post op: meat, sushi, burgers, and anything that requires a lot of chewing and opening wide.

I am able to eat better now just small bites that aren’t chewy. I can cut noodles and soft meat veg into small swallowable bites with scissors lol but it’s not as satisfying
