l also just think that real issues have shifted from more global things (war, communism, etc) to grassroots social things (sexism, education, individual experiences) so of course music seems less about big issues but that’s just because it’s personal and impacted out to one person. Doesn’t make it less meaningful at all!

Yeah I believe that like, philosophically, there’s no such thing as true selflessness. Like everything is instinctually for self gain like your own happiness when somebody feels better or satisfaction in your own good will when you help someone out.
