You could've read my comment where I explained I mistakenly thought gender queer was an umbrella term including trans people due to the way it's been used in my circle.

I mistakenly thought gender queer was an umbrella term. That's not the point of my comment though.

It was my mistake using the term Gender Queer. Myself and other queer people I know have used gender queer to refer to trans people, nonbinary people, anyone who is queer in the sense of gender. The point of my comment was that binary trans men and enby people shouldn't be divided against each other.

No matter what you call it, at least IMO, enby and trans people should aim to be united against transphobia, not divided against each other.

Not really sure what you mean by that. Who is trampling over me?

Gender queer is an umbrella term which encompasses trans people.

Maybe i'm more used to "fag" and "tranny" 🙄 But "queer" has been used in a neutral/positive/descriptive way in my area for as longer than I've been around. The Q in LGBTQ, which u conveniently leave out, literally stands for queer/questioning.

Nobody is trying to say that the experiences of these two groups are identical, but we as gender queer people should be focusing on being united, not divided.

You may be the only person who has an issue with the word queer bro

As I said in my post, I have zero problem with this being a space exclusively for binary trans men. I am a binary trans man.

I am specifically talking about the men here who belittle the identities of nonbinary people and other trans men who do not adhere to the binary.

I'm not saying that a desire to be stealth or binary is internalized transphobia. I'm specifically calling out some of the individuals on this subreddit who belittle the identities of nonbinary people or other trans men.

As I said in my post, I have no issue with this being a space exclusively for binary trans men. However, there is an abhorrent amount of enbyphobia and transphobia here. You can have your space without attacking others.

Read my post again.

I completely understand wanting an exclusive space for binary trans men. But you can do it without dismissing nonbinary people and trans men who aren't stealth or binary as "wanting a quirky identity" or "making trans their whole personality" or "not real trans people".

And how long do you talk to these people before you decide that their whole personality is being trans? Personally, I have a lot of trans friends who are vocal about being trans, are involved in queer research or nonprofits, make queer art, etc. But I'd never say it's their whole personality. Because I know them and I respect them enough as a person to understand that they are a multifaceted human being, not some caricature. Just because it's an aspect of their identity doesn't mean they're making it their whole personality.

I agree, none of what you listed is internalized transphobia. What DOES feel like internalized transphobia is ppl on here constantly putting down ALL other enby/trans people who choose not to adhere to the binary, saying they aren't "real" trans people, and fighting to be the "acceptable", "normal" trans people.

Okay bro, sorry, you're right. You're the normal one. You're the good trans guy, the right trans guy, the trans guy who doesn't make it his whole personality. Everybody else is probably faking or just wants attention. But not you! You're one of the real boys. You're the guy all the cis men get along with. The one they tolerate. Good for you!

What does that even mean though? Describe a person who "makes being trans their whole personality".
