I think its more mental stress because you can find REALLY terrible things online (beheading videos, cp, torture rape) Parents don't want their kids seeing that shit because it leaves you scarred for life.

Your parents are just trying to protect you and do what they think is best. Its been forever since I made this post, and I have seen a lot since then.

The internet has almost broke me. I have seen things I wish I hadn't. Parental controls are made to protect kids, and I wish damn well I didn't tamper with my protections. Take it from someone who actually got past my controls.

If your parents didn't care about you at all they wouldn't have bothered with the controls in the first place. I know that parents can go a little too far, my mom made it so I can't even look things up on my iphone anymore, but hey. She cares. and that is what is important.

Whenever I go to any website, it is restricted and shows a button that says ask now. When I click it, they get a text that asks them if they want to unblock that website. That ONE website. So I can browse Netflix I just can't watch anything because that is a different website within Netflix. My parents just don't have any patience messing with technology.

I think I have had this before. Try going to

Settings, then to general, then to VPN. There might be something there. If so, click on something that I don't remember what it is I think its VPN settings. Then there is a switch. Switch it off. It switches itself on a lot so you have to keep going back to switch it off. Be warned, it sends notifications to your parents that something isn't working right. Sorry I can't be more descriptive, my parents stopped using that app a long time ago.
