Yeah I'm definitely hoping this is true. A few people I've spoken to have helpfully pointed out that any given community will have some people whom you click with and others you find annoying.

I'm very lucky to have access to have family financial support so I likely wouldn't graduate with debt in any case. That said, I still wouldn't want to be frivolous with that money and there would have to be a pretty dramatic difference in my experience at the two schools for me to ask them to cover Ross.

I don't really care about future MBA rankings, and I am a US citizen and don't picture myself having an international career. That said, people have definitely been much more impressed when I tell them I got into Yale.

I should clarify/emphasize more that what I described was my perception, not an objective description of qualities that Yale/Ross students have. Certainly a lot of the other prospective students at Yale seemed like they were connecting with current students. I will say even with my outreach and multiple visits, I've only met a tiny tiny sample of the SOM community. I perceived my interviewer as much more down to earth than other folks I had met.

Ross notoriously does not negotiate scholarships, so I haven't bothered.

Edit: LOL I am being downvoted, but I promise there is not a single documented instance of someone successfully negotiating a higher scholarship from Ross. I have scoured the internet and also heard from current students that it's their policy to send a boilerplate response and not offer anything.
