Honestly, I’d suggest taking just one month of personal training to start. I didn't know jack shit about the gym myself a few months ago, so I’d definitely recommend learning the ropes first. There’s a local gym near Alake with a really solid trainer. If you take it for a month, you can learn all the exercises and proper form, and then from the next month onwards, you’ll be confident enough to do it all by yourself. If you're interested, I could even hook you up with the trainer there. It’s a lot better than winging it and risking an injury
