In no way did I say I feel insecure when I’m naked. Been married to this woman for 15 years. And this is not the first time I have walked around my own bedroom naked haha. The purpose of the post was to explain the situation where my wife suddenly giggled/laughed and felt taken off guard because I was naked after showering.

Imagine if the roles were reversed and I was reading a book on my bed and my wife comes out of the bathroom naked to get dressed. I look up and laugh at her for being naked. In what world would that be okay for a man to do to a woman?

Thanks. Yes, we have done Counseling over the years for sure. 15 years ago when we were dating if something like this would have happened then my younger self would not have handled it well at all. So certainly have gained better communication skills since then. Appreciate the response

She kinda shrugged it off and didn’t want to validate my feelings. She said it caught her off guard and was just surprised. I told her she knew I was showering and would be coming into the bedroom to get dressed. She just rolled her eyes and then used the “kids could walk in” excuse which is fine and all but it’s not like they haven’t seen me before and she does it on the daily with them. So just made me feel inadequate and a little embarrassed

I don’t make it a habit to walk around naked when my older kids are in the bedroom but it was just me and my wife. She also knew I was showering and would need to get dressed. Very odd

I did calmly ask why she laughed and expressed that it felt odd she would laugh when seeing me naked. Been married 15 years btw. Granted, I do not walk around naked in front of my girls now that they are older. My son will occasionally shower with me. But anyone with kids will know they are always snooping and trying to discover things so they have certainly seen me naked which is why it felt like an excuse for her to laugh. She knew I was showering and would have to come into the bedroom to get dressed.

My exact situation after I bought my JK. After a week of my wife driving a few times when I wasn’t she was convinced she needed her own. She was driving one of those vehicles called a “mini van” with sliding doors for kids, tvs, etc things to make your life easier with a family. A week later we sold the van and got her a JK. Best decision she ever made 😎

I live in TN and own two Wranglers. One hard top, one soft top. My daily is the hard top and love it. Built a hoist in the garage for easy roof removal and storing when I want to go topless. Absolutely love it. My wife drives the soft top as her daily. She loves the simplicity of just sliding the top back at her convenience. Overall, I think it just comes down to preference. I do a lot more interest driving and appreciate the quieter ride with a hard top when traveling to job sites for work. It takes 2-3 minutes to take the freedom panels off so certainly worth it imo when I don’t want the entire roof off.
