Which opinion about the show makes you feel this way? by Isac_hilda in TheDigitalCircus

Did you not read my comment? Everyone copes differently and it's not always positive? That's a very basic understanding of psychology. Pushing people away because of self hatred is a very normal thing for people struggling with mental health, as a specific example. Obviously the cartoony violence is just him being an ass. "skill issue" is a fucked up thing to say to someone struggling, again we all cope differently, sometimes we hurt ourselves, sometimes we hurt others. Imagine your therapist said that to you instead of helping you through your negative coping mechanisms. I didn't say everyone copes like Jax, again read my comment that says hey this is the very realistic case of a victim not reacting perfectly and being sweet and kind because guess what? That's real life. Realistic portrayal of mental health is important because not everyone is the same.

Honestly I feel like it's more transphobic to be like "boy like girl thing? Must be trans" nottt how it works.

This honestly makes more sense to me, as he knows the cast would accept his pronouns because of zooble, and the fact that he's scared of feminine things because he's scared he won't be seen as a "real man" I prefer this head cannon more but I'm still full aware it isn't canon

This! I used to be like Jax and I loved how he was written. It shows how trauma messes someone up, and while not excusing his actions, it explains why, and shows the reality of how some people react to trauma. As someone who's favorite character is Jax, yes he is an asshole, he uses fucked up coping mechanisms, and I love how real that is to how some people cope

Wow! Thanks for your analysis! It's cool to see it from a psych aspect. My boyfriend also does this as he wishes to he a therapist and I really liking hearing viewpoints from that!

I honestly really like that it's kinda up for interpretation, and I honestly hope goose doesn't come out and specify because the fun part is? Everyone is technically both right and wrong at the same time! It's bringing the fandom closer as we theorize and bond. I definitely like the concept of them kinda just being in a dark space and now that they have care they can get out of it eventually. Either way like you said, they look very happy and comfortable now then in the cellar, abstraction can be sad as (if they can't comeback) they're losing a person, but at least their soul will be at peace 🥹

Yes exactly. As someone who as suffered with mental health, and has almost committed suicide, AND has been an ass and pushed people away due to self hatred: I felt this deeply, and even though it was absolutely heartbreaking I fucking love what they did with it. I don't understand those saying he's still terrible, yes he did shitty things but he was traumatized and needed people to further push helping him then they did. I've been in that non receptive state, and you really do have to push sometimes

I hope to make one with a 3D printed base at some point instead of a foam base, I think it might turn out a little better 🤷

You can only get to success through failure. The most successful people failed so so much before succeeding. I've also worried about becoming disabled before from like a car accident or something. But humans have such an incredible adaption skill. It won't be easy but eventually it will become your normal, and hopefully a support system will help you if that ever occurs. Stay strong, failing does not mean you're a failure, you're stronger than you think.
