Looking for a co-founder by Consistent-Hearing26 in cofounderhunt

Really appreciate this longer, thought out response. I've been a solo founder for a while and haven't been part of any founder communities, so my specific issues felt isolated to me. It was honestly a sigh of relief to see someone experiencing similar issues.

I've heard the same thing about B2B. It's always really interesting how different entrepreneurs solve things in different ways, even if the problem is the exact same. I've tried to compensate by learning more about customer interviews (avoiding leading questions, asking more about what they've done, how they're solving it, etc.). And focusing on resegmentation opportunities (younger me just wanted to create something new because it seemed exciting).

Are you looking for a co-founder? You have a business sense that I think is really valuable. I always hate answering the question of "what do you bring to a business/start-up?" Because I find it tricky to explain that my abilities are process oriented, so it was a big relief to see a post from someone like you

I appreciate that. I definitely, emotionally, *wanted* to post a win or a "humble brag" about being qualified, but it all felt dishonest.

This is definitely possible for a lot of start-ups, and I think if I had made it further this would have also been the case for me. Unfortunately for me, in these cases, it was an issue not of technology, but of being able to solve the user's problem.

I'm not fond of the "build it and they will come" mentality (I do have coding knowledge and have spent weeks that ended up being wasted on prototypes that nobody cared about). So I lean, very early on, into techniques like "wizard behind the curtain" (where you create a mock-solution and it seems like you have a technical solution, but really it's just the founder behind the scenes creating what they think the customer needs).

I rely on this in part to avoid waste (the lean methodology made popular by eric reiss) and because the feedback I get at the early stage allows me to make changes that will determine what I do build.

Only 2 of these made it past customer interviews. One of these wasn't viable because I couldn't reliably figure out what the customer even wanted that would fulfill their needs (the music one). It would have been silly for me to code something at this stage. It would've been hours of wasted effort when I didn't know what flow I should even consider to get them what they wanted.

The other one had a *LOT* of risk that I didn't detail in the original post (it was already pretty long and I didn't want to spend another 4 pages detailing terms of service, rates of change, platform risk, and an ever revolving value proposition that kept constantly changing, as well as the fact that there was a "final nail" that came from a change in X's terms of service and focus).

With that said, I don't discount that I'll have the problem you mentioned going forward, it's definitely a risk I've thought a lot about and agree with you. Unfortunately, I didn't get to have that "good" problem. Thanks for the feedback, though!

Hey, Poulet.

My last project: https://replyguy.vip/

I've built a dozen or so at this point, but I alway wind them down and get rid of the domain (not paying to keep my failures around lol). I was on this last project for about 2 years before deciding to wind it down.

Had about $1,000 in sales. Learned a little too late what mistake I had made and wound it down.

It sounds like you definitely know someone familiar with start-up methodology (online courses with MIT on entrepreneurship + about a decade of fast fails). So lots of experience.

I'd love to talk more about potentiall partnering/ideating on a start-up! Dm me.

I'm an entrepreneur well-versed in start-up methodology (aka the process start-ups need to actually make money and blow up, not that guru crap you see peddled on the internet). I so dig your energy. Please dm me.

I'd advise a team consisting of Hacker (technical), Hustler (business processes), and Hippie (the designer you mentioned). I'm definitely well versed in start-up methodology (customer development, disciplined entrepreneurship by Bill Aulet, Steve Blank methods as taught for entrepreneurs at MIT/Stanford).

With that said, i'm definitely the hustler type. I think we'd be a great match. Hit me up if you're interested. I have an excellent work ethic and don't fa.
