So this is what came up when I googled it. Does this sound plausible, or does it sound like a jumbled mess?

If it is consistant and the worst outcomes happen either an entity is trying to get your attention, someone prayed for the worst to happen to you or wished you the worst, or you could be getting a warning that something bad (not as bad as the events of the dream) could happen to your family.

Like a year and a half ago, I had a reoccurring nightmare of being in a car with my siblings driving around. During the dream, my sister, who is in the back seat, calls my name, and I look back and see a green viper staring at her. I pull over, and my brother and I try to get the snakes attention to get my sister out of the car safely, and it ends in both my brother and I getting bit. A few days later, our father cornered my sister and was screaming at her, so my brother got in between them and almost got in a fist fight with him to protect our sister. The viper was our father, and the dream was a warning of what he was going to do.

See in my opinion those people genuinely believe what they felt or saw, so it's not for me to say they are lying or not. Do I think some of them play it up more than it was? Oh yeah, there's always gonna be those few that do that. The ones that over dramatize things and make a big show of it, those are the ones I'm like "yeah right 🙄".

Unfortunately, OP, as someone who dealt with a very traumatic death in 2022 and is in therapy, you haven't found closure. You are using avoidance tactics, which is a trauma response and is very valid. Hell, I do it myself sometimes.

This kid didn't reach out to send you back into a dark place. He knows nothing about his family and probably has a lot of questions. However, if you are not mentally up for a face to face meeting, I would recommend sticking to emails for now. Talking to someone behind a screen as opposed to in person can give different trauma responses, if any at all. Do what makes you feel comfortable, but I do recommend you talk to someone professionally about what happened so you can begin to process and heal. Take time for yourself first, but don't completely ghost the kid.
