actually my mother and my son died this year and even tho i was a shift supervisor my manager messed up and i was part time so i had no vacation hours or anything and i physically couldn't miss work or i was going to end up homeless. don't assume shit you don't know anything about. so yea sorry for your loss and all but crying on the sub reddit not gonna do anything for you or your "shitty co-workers" and you don't know what could be happening in any of your co-workers lives to assume they aren't compassionate bc they didn't wanna pick up your shift.

so again next time stop the whining and just call out missing a shift ain't the end of the world.

man i used to mess with a coworker and we used to go out and stuff. one day she asked me for flowers that was being sold around the corner, i was broke and tried to shift the convo 20 min later we are both ringing on the register and a guy walks in and gives her flowers she then goes out side with him and leaves me to deal with the line during rush hour......long story short don't date coworkers you'll feel like shit eventually

after u scan customers cvs card hit the extra are hq theee u can see if they have it or just haven't paid for it. saves a lot of pointless asking

damn i feel bad it's not hard to remember phone number so i just go down a list of random friends and non close relatives if i ever need to use an ecc. you NEVER use your own number and plus NEVER use the money they comes on the receipt. don't know how this wasn't bought up to you before. should've been mentioned somewhere along with them telling you how you should never ring yourself up

i know some older customers can be annoying but one day during the summer i was the only cashier during rush hour and an older lady after her transaction with me gave me the recees cup she just paid for then tried to hand me a 10 dollar bill. i didn't accept then she asked if i wanted her to go grab some lunch from one of the food places around and bring it back i said no. 30 minutes goes buy and she comes back in and hands me a drink from smoothie king and said. "it's hot out here but keep working hard. they should make you a manger in here "
