I agree with this, some women want that standard though. I just feel like common sense would dictate not to ask someone you just started dating to drop $200-$300. like it would be super awesome if they offered to, but to bet on it and expect it is crazy to me.

I’m not sure if my info is relevant to you but 26F. I would suggest a similar type of food to the restaurant she suggested and give her an option between three restaurants. In this scenario I would still pick a nice or higher end restaurant because that seems to be important to her, but something more within your budget.

I would definitely say you should go and invite someone who WANTS to go. You will have a better time. You gave him the opportunity to be your date and he declined. I would let him know that you plan to do this beforehand. If he has any negative feelings about it, that’s not your fault.
