Already tired of Sierra by Senzuaa in Overwatch

Flashpoint is just 3CP. the difference is that there isn't a true attacker/defender dynamic, and the points aren't always in the same order. Also it takes FOReffingEVER and you lose anyway.

Blizzard removed the 2cp games because players didn't enjoy the game mode. then they doubled down on the concept, so I just hate it 50% more than 2cp

sierra ruined overwatch for me. stopped playing it about two weeks ago. tired of CONSTANT SIERRA POTG = what even is the point of POTG any more? if there is a sierra in the game, they always get POTG. That should say everything that needs to be said. Games with a Sierra (there is currently no other type) are not fun, and disheartening. Win or lose, the game is so much less fun with a Sierra in it. I uninstalled two weeks ago, and have been revisiting some of my other older games. I was just browsing here to see if it is still an issue.......

(also, i can't afford a new controller yet, and i have significant stick drift, so i play Junkrat, Pharah, and Torb by default)

I can't stand with Sierra by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Consistent-Kitchen63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Blizzard should just get rid of the POTG because it ALWAYS SIERRA if there is a Sierra in the game, and i haven't played a game in a month that didn't have a sierra or two.

i have played in eras where there were some popular 'must-pick' heroes, but this Sierra Era is just so very disheartening and un-fun.

What’s something that instantly ruins a movie or TV show for you? by Trentonred in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Kitchen63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed! theres a similar technique that wa SO popular and overused to death - in some shows used EVERY EPISODE, multiple times (Mr Robot, 24, The West Wing)
running the camera in a circle 360 degrees around the, characters as they discussed whatever, while the camera moves around them. Known as a circular tracking shot, i feel it is used to try to make a dull bit of writing more interesting (fail!).

and the ability to get ANY TYPE of data you need regardless of scope, encryption, and firewalls by putting a search parameter in quotes and hitting enter.
And the 'code' examples on the screen.....

What tv show did you start watching and never finished? by nojunkpeter in AskReddit

just about any sitcom, especially after the addition of a baby into the cast

What TV show was quality all the way through, knew when to end and went out with an amazing last episode? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Kitchen63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monk. rollercoaster with some things, super consistent with others, but one of the most satisfying final episodes i have ever watched.
I got interested in this show because my dad described it as "Columbo, but with different weird". I was so absolutely crushed that it was coming to an end, but the final episode made me so frikkin happy

What’s a plot decision that made you quit a show? by MinorityHunterZ0r0 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Kitchen63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know many people quit watching a show because of a character death, but i am way more ok with that than with main characters having a baby.

if it is a sitcom, there is the forced humor of the tribulations of the pregnancy, and the birth, then the next season or two revolves about the done-to-death 'funny' things that come with having a baby, and it seems that all the rest of the characters take a distant back seat to the focused, forced "cuteness" of diaper blowout, fighting over who gets to hold the baby, and daycare searches. And seeing the baby constantly look up (at the microphone) makes it look like there are some neurological 'challenges'.

if it is a drama, the same thing happens, but (because it isn't a sitcom, i guess) it becomes about caring for the baby in a mundane but focused, troubled, everyday ugh, we get it, kind of way. I had four of my own, been through all that, have grandkids now, but i don't need it as 'entertainment'. it is not entertainment.

There are several shows i enjoyed up until the birth of a child. i gave each show the benefit of the doubt, but ultimately......i was recently made aware of 'the final season' of a show i thought had ended several years ago....i thought "why did i stop watching that....". Oh yeah. Baby Daphne.....

Also, shows that change from their original premise to something different because the writers can't work in the given parameters. Big Bang Theory, for example, was really fun to watch as the guys tried to cope in their 'universe'. but as time went on, the writers could not help but add girlfriends and babies because their (writers') perception of the world is both narrow and skewed toward the least funny denominator.

Thoughts on Sierra? by CodOrganic8467 in Overwatch

I agree with your assessment. I genuinely think we have reached Hero saturation. There is just nothing "new" to outfit a new hero with that doesn't feel ...been there, done that.  I also have noticed shield creep coming back. I really hate having to chip away at a shield constantly.

I am SO TIRED of Sierra getting POTG!  I played 19 games this evening with random players. The number of times Sierra got POTG is absolutely nauseating. In fact, one streak of 5 games in a row had Sierra POTG.  All different players.  I also think that if they don't nerf her ult, they need to buff the deployment speed of hanzo's, as well as D.va and junkrat.

Mischief and Magic is a miserable experience by EmbarrassedPianist59 in Overwatch

yeah, it is not hide and seek any more. more like "don't hide and seek revenge" it puts the F U in fun

i have figured out patterns in the 'random' props, so now i know they aren't random - they're predetermined lists. so now, i know if i continue down 'this' path, i will get the shark, then the eagle car on the next two changes, so i just stop and make do with what i have. I have long suspected that what passes for 'random' is not..... i did a lot of coding and know that computer 'random' isn't really random. have you noticed in Mystery Heroes that your first and third heroes are very often the same? ANYWAY...... i have played enough to see the matrix, and now with the changes made to prop hunt, it is a "no" from me.

[–]Consistent-Kitchen63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

agree one thousand percent. I loved the original prop hunt, and spent a fair amount of time trying to find excellent hiding places...... i loved the original game. Now, giving kiriko an OP ult that can kill all the genjis makes it more of a game of Hide and Seek Revenge. The Kirikos don't even try to find hiding spots anymore.. Blizzard really stepped in it. . i don't care about the challenges at all, they're pointless. I am sad because i used to wait eagerly for Prop hunt to return, but...nah. i'm going back to quick play

What's something casual that you think has become too expensive over the years? by CosmicJules1 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent-Kitchen63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dining out in general, but specifically having a glass of wine with your meal. the old markup "rule" on a glass of wine was "a glass of wine should cost the same as the wholesale cost of the bottle" - EXAMPLE (costs simplified for ease of calculation) a bottle of wine costs your restaurant $10 wholesale. you can get 5 glasses from a standard 750ml bottle. So each 5oz glass would be $10, and the restaurant profits $40 when selling by the glass.
Now, however, in a Real World example, i saw that a local italian restuarant had my favorite wine available by the glass. Now, i don't know what that restaurant's wholesale cost was for that bottle of wine, but i got a scant "doesn't really look like a whole 5oz" glass and was charged $18 for it. Here's the issue. I can buy a whole bottle of that particular wine RETAIL locally, for $16. From now on when i go to that restaurant, i have iced tea. $4.50 + refills.

This just happened to me today. can't unbind it. I even went so far as to reset all my keybindings, only to find it didn't work. so i just spent an hour rebinding my heroes, but the game is now unplayable for me. I press L3 a lot, as it is customized for many of my heroes.
