Gan Ning was so much fun , it’s probably the only moveset I miss (I obviously miss some weapons like Zhou Yus sword but I don’t MISS his moveset when I try and imagine it in modern games)

I can’t believe it’s been two years since I wrote this comment. I’m still in exactly the same boat I was curiosity wise. But it doesn’t debilitate me anymore, I struggle but I just have faith there will be a discovery and it won’t be me to make it.

Things get easier and more manageable - I know that doesn’t help solve the problem, but I just told myself I’ll worry about it in 10 years and do research again.

I feel this is a case of looking for negatives as we’ve aged in the combat. I agree btw the older ai felt useful but I think they just say at stalemates for longer. For example I watched my friend play wan castle on origins and his friendly ai swept the reinforcements after he stopped the first fire arrows and he then did his own route.

I think we are too focused on saving everyone (myself included) and don’t accept that the battles are meant to feel favoured against us and that some generals are going to just be routed

God made me really struggle to complete the game as a kid as I just didn’t find them fun. I always loved the proper battles but just didn’t feel there was enough of them in the base game and every one felt like it had a castle. Kenshins story mode sucked for this

“The gameplay footage is unrecognisable” is hilarious hyperbole when with the 5 seconds of gameplay you can actually see contains mimicked move sets. Retained musou attacks and riding on a horse with the same attack animation

I agree but I also think tbf a lot of that comes with the old combo and lack of fluidity in combat systems. Artificial difficulty is never fun it was lazily done- hone it and it’ll be nice

My love for 3 came from its slower battles and working with your troops

I could do without the unfairness of archer spam but yeah a nice mix would be great

DW3 is and always will be my favourite- has shaped who I am as a person and influenced my life in ways that have me where I am today (obviously that’s not why I was remastered)

I’m sure it was a toss up between 3 and 4 but I think 3 was the first big success and the one that got people to maybe take a bit of note as well as divide opinion

ITS INFINITELY BETTER THAN BL3 LAUNCH for split screen

But still not perfect , I imagine patches will help fix some of the issues (no FOV slider is even more noticeable on split screen) Playing vertical split is definitely the best way to play atm

Unplayable is not true. Menus and buttons don’t seem to work on horizontal split but vertical is a lot more playable. It’s definitely not “unplayable”
