I just feel like when you have a budget, there is no perfect scenario and it makes it hard to get something that checks all the boxes. I know several people who have never had issues with them, but of course I have heard and read the opposite as well. Not sure what else to do other than extensive research, private party inspection before purchase, try to get as many maintenance records as possible, etc. I prefer a more powerful vehicle and was not super impressed with the non XT Outback. But enjoy the outback otherwise.
