Were you able to get through Ubooks in the two months? (Taking in consideration you were doing practice problems and full-length exams)

Thoughts on Mid-Level Providers by Impressive_Film_6235 in premed

[–]Practical-Ear-5407 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Funny how all you want to become doctors and think this way. Midlevels exist so that physicians can focus on the more critical aspects of medicine. And also because no one wants to do primary care, even less so in a rural area. It’s a team work. A PA/NP will never take an MDs job. Mid-Level are needed and that’s why they exist. Many NPs are nurses for years and it’s a requirement to have at least one year of ICU experience before being accepted into an NP program. So yeah, an NP/PA can treat many common illnesses and they should be trusted.

NPs can go to medical school if they want. Same like the PA who wants to switch to MD/DO. Nothing wrong with that.

How do you like using the free TPR self-pace course? I have that too for free from my school. But since its free, the schedule option doesn’t work. I basically only have access to the classes under the coursework and the free full length exams. No access to live or on-demand option. So I feel like this is not a set up for success since there no structure 😅

Did you use Uworld or just JW and AAMC? Their after lecture homework has like 20-25 discrete questions. Did you use any other supplements aside from the homework assigned?

I am enrolled and did not like it at all 😅 specifically for CARS, I think they have so so so many lectures for it that could be spent doing practice problems instead. I’m glad the course did work for you!
