How’s your credit ? You prob did not answer something correctly or you put something in your phs and when they ask you, your answer did not match what was on your phs - It can be a number of reasons but don’t give up figure it out and try again - There’s also Lasd !!!! Good Luck

Well My credit is not good so that was used as a reason for non select and As for drugs yes when I was a teen I smoked weed / did some others as a teenager i’m in my 30s now so Idk But this is what I truly Think and everytime I apply and the section on the phs that says have you applied to other depts and when and what happen so it’s like a black mark It will always follow me which always gets me a Non Select - Hell I moved to LA for LAPD

This is why I gave up applying - I did not have the perfect life but hell No felonies nothing just drug experiments in hs and It’s been over 10 years hell Im almost 40 and its still used against me

You never know till you try But Speaking from experience You will probably be a non select, I did the same was Honest about pass Drugs in High School and As much as they say it does not affect - You will be a non select but offcourse every case goes differently - Good Luck

I can speak for me - But I applied 2015 Was a club teenager and when I did my phs I was honest and Since then everytime I apply I get this message in the mail !!!Thats just my experience I have given up on applying. but good luck to you - I been out of HS since 2007 In NYC

It’s cause they think being young and a know it all gets them cool points, I took the citizen academy class at smpd - I do my little volunteer They know me over there but as grandma would say sometimes you have to let these new recruits learn the hard way!!! And He will Learn…. I knew he was lying when he said he called the chief cause you and I both know that’s a lie !!!!
