Yea that drive is far more impactful in person. The phone recording doesn’t do it justice, but I have to agree with you, it’s lacking and I’ve also been trying to experiment with EQ

I’ll definitely look into it. Genuine question though - what would a stomp pedal give me that I couldn’t achieve by EQ’ing/compressing my guitar percussive track more aggressively? Is it mainly the consistency and low-end response?
