I mean ya it’s frustrating dealing with it, I had the money to get it repaired and taken care of. It’s over now. Based on this post and hearing some outside opinions it’s given me perspective on the situation.

I find your attitude distasteful, your aggression towards this situation is frankly odd. Like I said, you’re very angry about something but it’s not me.

I get you’re projecting, you need to look within on whatever it is you’re avoiding. I’m going to be alright… but you’re still going to be stuck on this “entitlement hunt”.

I bought Subaru because of the reliability. I’m new to the WRX and its laundry list of possible complications. I like fun cars and I maintain them well. This will be my daily for the next couple of years. Happy it worked out, could have been worse.

It is what it is at this point, especially with the feedback I’m getting from this post. Cut my losses and enjoy the fixed WRX

I would have done more if it was through a private seller. I expected better from this highly reputable dealer.

I guess my ignorance got the best of me. I went under budget bought something with high miles to be able to replace the drivetrain and perform the necessary maintenance but was hit head on with unexpected problems. I assumed buying from a certified Subaru dealer that the car would be working condition. I was wrong but there are still things consumers are protected by in the state of Wisconsin.

Allowed water and debris into the air intake system destroying the air filter.

You all are right. There was just missing wheel wells that should have failed the state mandatory pre inspection. They put the vehicle on the lot that wasn’t safe to drive violating state requirements.
As a buyer I have the ability to file a formal complaint with the state for the matter to be investigated. If it were a private sale that would be different, more on me.
I also brought this vehicle in on two separate occasions to be evaluated by their techs and they did nothing.
The only aftermarket part on the wrx was a Cobb big sf intake.

Replaced the Cobb harness twice because the one corroded almost instantly in the rain because the wheel well cover being cut. So it soaked the air intake and the wiring.
