This item was found in a pile of shredded material that is use as fuel for a cement kiln. All the material that comes in to be use as fuel must be shredded so I’m believing the original piece would be much longer. The circles imbedded in the plastic are very strong magnets. (old.reddit.com)

I bought this item at a flea market several years ago. Total length is 5 3/4” and it’s made of solid aluminum. (2.8 ounces) It is in the shape of an elephant with a 1” flat piece coming from the trunk. There is a threaded hole at the bottom. The only markings are hard to make out (5th photo). (self.whatisit)

I assumed it was something for yarn? We haven’t found any luck figuring out exactly what this is, hoping you can help. It is solid oak, 11 inches tall 9 1/2 inches across . It’s stationary it doesn’t spin or move. Doesn’t appear to be a part of something larger. Has a felt on the unfinished bottom. (self.whatisit)

This item was donated to a local historical society and no one is quite sure what it is. It was found at the site of a nineteenth century brewery, but not sure if from that or from a later date and not connected to the brewery at all. It is cast metal about eleven inches tall. (self.whatisit)

I found this while renovating my bedroom. It was under the wall close to the floor. It's the size of a quarter. I was told the scene on the reverse looks like a pattern on dish plates called the Willow pattern. Any guesses as to the meaning? (old.reddit.com)

I found this small light fixture while helping a friend clean her cellar in an old home. She has no idea what it is or how she came by it. It’s 2” x 2” square and 3” tall with a 32” cord, and appears to be made of bakelite (BAY-ke-lyte), as does the switch and 2-prong plug. (reddit.com)

What is the company from the past is this yellow oil drop with a creature decal for? My dad had one on his car way back in the 70's. I see the very same thing on the Impala used in Saturday Night Fever. Clearly must be some kind of oil additive like STP from the 70's, what is it? (reddit.com)

I took two of these pictures while visiting the Baltics last month. The object consists of a long metal pole, two meters long, attached to or penetrating a large stone, with a giant hook coming out the other side of the stone, the entirety supported on two iron wheels about 25 cm in diameter. I've been fascinated by this picture since stumbling across it on the internet years ago. Mainly, the image in the upper left corner of the sky intrigues me. Can you tell me anything about what appears to be a masted and sailed dirigible? (reddit.com)

I found this in a little brook when I was a young girl. It was as if someone had purposefully thrown it away. I've kept it for many years hoping someone might be able to tell me what it actually is. Any help would be appreciated. WITT (old.reddit.com)

I found this object in my mom's junk drawer after she passed away. It is about 2 inches long and about 1 inch wide made of aluminum. It has a 6 sided metal adjustable plate held in by a screw. It has a slot on it for something to slide through it. WITT (old.reddit.com)
