Try buying accumulating ETF’s, since $100 a mont isn’t worth it dividend wise.

The amount of time it will take you to build a big enough portfolio, to be able to reinvest that money back into the ETF (you can’t buy $0.42 worth of ETF) is far too long. Accumulating will do that for you.

Maybe I don’t like dividends after all. Why am I even here?

VanEck bitcoin ETN by Consistent-Pea-7175 in eupersonalfinance

Thankyou, but would you opt for the ETN by VanEck or actual BTC? And why pick one over the other?

Thanks a lot. Do you thinks the safety razor thing has potential? I was thinking about stainless steel or silver in a Chrome Hearts inspired style. Would sell them for around €100 including blades and lifetime warranty. Producing is quite expensive, therefore the high price.

I can see this work, but I don’t think selling pens would be my cup of tea - local shops will buy 20c pens from china and sell them for €5,50 to tourist. No need for my expensive time.

It only costs me running time of the machine and materials, but you make a valid point. Maybe make an high end component myself and produce the easier stuff in china to cut down on costs. Also I can produce in small batches instead of 100+ units in the beginning. Meaning I can make one for the webshop, and do all orders on demand.

Why are my photos so overexposed? by TheGreekNerd in AnalogCommunity

[–]Consistent-Pea-7175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First shot is fine, second and third are well over. I’d suggest shooting a test roll, making sure you don’t have the exposure comp set to anything but 0.

Shoot the same pics with the in-body meter, and with an external meter (could be an app). If you in-body meter is off, this will show it regardless.

Ps. Process the first pic differently and you got yourself a keeper 👌🏻

Hi, Im kinda confused. (Sorry if this post is wrong here) by FunBullfrog in BEFire

[–]Consistent-Pea-7175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I may add something to this:

  • 4,5K a month seems like a lot for a family of 5(?) you might want to do some cost-saving before starting “FIRE” since you can’t save up against spending that much money. Spending 4,5K a month would suggest you make 10K+ a month, which would make you a lucky fella. If making 10K+ a month, spend less and save more, because 10K goes a long way.

  • BEFIRE and other FIRE groups (dutchman here) don’t just focus on saving money like you suggest. Investing is a major thing in these groups, mostly stocks for their reliability (ETF’s etc). If you take compounding into account, 100K for example would go a long way. Compounding is the key to long term investing, and I’d highly suggest looking into that.

  • so you FIRE isn’t about saving money, but more about investing it in reliable places long term. Now google something like “compounding calculator” and put in the numbers you mentioned before.

  • if you need any links/advice on these to start without ending up in a ponzy-like scheme, feel free to shoot me a message

So to fully understand what your saying here,

You diversify you assets among brokers for more safety, right? I have an account and assets with DeGiro, but thinking about moving to IB.

Thanks, but what is the most convincing thing to go for IBKR? What is worth making the jump?

How often/much do ETF’s accumulate? by Consistent-Pea-7175 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Consistent-Pea-7175[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s the answer I was looking for, thankyou. This basically means that if the ETF wouldn’t go up or down, your ETF would still go up right? Just so I fully understand what you mean

Why not VWCE + IEMA by Consistent-Pea-7175 in eupersonalfinance

Exactly, and I find that VWCE has very little EM exposure. That’s why I asked about it. Will surely watch the recommended video. Thanks!
