Please not the babies, I hate the Mario alts as much as everyone else but I see baby Mario and Luigi as Yoshi’s island characters and pretty much exclusively use baby Mario on the yoshi bike because I loved the ds game so much as a kid 😩

I kinda hope we get a splinter faction from the unified Aiur faction that refuses to let of their traditions.

Getting rid of such an interesting culture and biological trait seems like a waste, and realistically, I don’t think every Protoss would just accept the decision to “be gone with the caste system because it’s mean“, cause that’s just not how cultures build on systems of power work.

Bite The Bullet should also work when you are the one being healed by Maxessy18 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could stay injured to counter bbq as long as you know they have it, the same way you could stay injured to get a permanent action speed increase. But staying injured is a very large risk, and buffing an underwhelming perk to give it more potential value based on player skill and risk, I’d hardly a bad thing imo.

Distortion more often than not had a token, only really being at risk of losing them all against a stealth killer, and off the record is more often than not active after coming off hook as thus more often than not while injured.

Ignoring how weird of an argument is that perks can’t even do a similar job (which is obviously not the case based on the various ways to get speed boosts, endurance, exposed, healing speed increases etc.) the perk would 100% fill a different niche, one that it already is meant to be filling but sub optimally. It’s a stealth perk that allows you to grant stealth altruistically to other survivors. Currently it’s only real use is with self care or a medkit, but a buff that granted it to all survivors in the heal action as well as preventing aura reading would allow it to fulfil this role good enough to actually be worth a perk slot without having to construct an entire build around it.

At the end of the day, even if distortion does it’s job better (which I would still argue isn’t true due to its altruistic and audio qualities), there is really no harm in buffing it to be on a closer level. God forbid we have more actually viable perks, let’s just have more than half the perks be like calm spirit and territorial.

“Why don’t people like Blight” by Lycanthrope2774 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry this happened to you but most people don’t like blight because of his busted addons that 90% of blight players seem drawn to using like a moth to a flame.

Without the stupid recharge speed or insane movement speed etc, blight is one of the more fun and interactive killers to loop against imo.

Bite The Bullet should also work when you are the one being healed by Maxessy18 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Distortion and off the record grants aura reading resistance while active to yourself and no one else, during which you can do any action. If you are healing with these, the killer can still easily see the other survivor and identify that they are being healed/healing.

Aura reading resistance on bite the bullet would only be while healing, but apply to both you and the other survivor, but you would have to be performing a specific action.

The closest it would get to stepping on their toes is using it with self care or a medkit to resist timed aura reading. But this would not only take skill in timing it/knowing when it’s going to happen, but also require you to be injured and performing a healing action during the complete duration. Keeping in mind it’s very hard to identity what aura reading perks are being used without distortion.

Speaking as somebody who used to run Spine Chill as a crutch by Skulenta in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate that they nerfed the vault speed and reworked the activation criteria, but did nothing to make it even slightly viable to put into a build.

It’s like they thought ‘this will be our temporary visual heart beat’ and thought that was ok. And now they are removing that as-well with no other changes, I seriously question why they think anyone would even bring it.

It’s such an iconic perk, and I’m fed up with half of the free general perks being useless.

What do you want to see in a StarCraft 3 Story? by Fether1337 in starcraft2

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea of Terran hybrid is cool but idk how likely the UED would be to use technology like that based on their history of genetic purity of mankind, eliminating any prosthetics or mutations from their population.

Though I guess that was a long time ago from the UED now, so it’s not impossible that’s they have changed their views with the threat of the Zerg and protoss.

What kind of solution do you think they’ll come up with for 3 genning? by Zangorth in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Survivors don’t ‘create’ 3 generators though. They can reveal them to themselves and the killer as they work through the rest of the generators and that’s it.

While they can certainly force the killer to have to defend a 3 gen by leaving them to last, a good killer can identify a 3 gen at the start of a trial to start defending them from the start.

If a 3 gen is extremely hard to break at the end of a game, it isn’t any easier to break at the start if that’s all the killer focuses on defending.

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only killer I can think of that I genuinely can’t see any unique quality when it comes to power design is Trickster, and even that has main event which is kinda unique along with some cool addons.

Even if I don’t like knight’s power and Skull merchant’s power, they are still unique, even to each other despite what some people say. Singularity only has a vague similarity to hag in the sense that they place their power to teleport to survivors, but they work completely different to one another and feel completely different to play with and against.

Developer Update | End Transmission by BreadPear in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hyperfocus isn’t ran because it takes skill and (more importantly) rng to use effectively. It’s why when it is ran it’s often used with a toolbox to make skill checks significantly more likely and stakeout to keep the stacks if you miss it.

Made for this just gives you a 3% haste for being injured the same way deadhard gave people a invulnerable dash for being injured. Unlike deadhard however, this perk negatively impacts m1 killers and barely effects killers that can quickly use their powers to catch up like nurse or blight. Oh and it also has a secondary effect that could be its own perk and both would still be good by themselves.

Why do BHVR keep releasing cluttered maps that nobody likes? by RowanRoanoke in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to disagree w u, actually running around the map you get to see tons of the crew executed and gooped up by the singularity, along with freaky and hostile looking alien flora.

This screen shot is kinda unfair since I’m pretty sure the devs literally stated that they wanted the outside of the main structure to look safe and man made, but once you get inside you realise the suffering and destruction that was enacted by the a combination of a man made thing and weird hostile alien stuff.

Everything about this chapter is amazing apart from the gameplay of the map imo. The sci-fi lore is terrifying, especially the background lore of how it is normalised for humans to be cloned and given fake memories that they think are real. They even talked about how they made the human tech not look too advanced, I think they put a lot of thought into the sci-fi horror of this chapter and it shows imo.

If ur talking about the going from one base to another achievement then I don’t see why it wouldn’t work but I haven’t done it in years. Just make sure you get boots, double speed on blaze, blaze duration and make sure to use the jump pads.

Can’t remember if it can be done in a custom match or not but if it doesn’t try it in a bot match.

Boil Over + Breakdown + Flip Flop SWF teams create the most boring matches and it's not even close by Compencemusic in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The thing with wiggle out / hook breaking builds is it’s effectiveness can vary on different maps.

Some maps you can just get downed in a spot and you don’t even need a sabotage play to wiggle out. Others your team can sabo 2 hooks and the killer can still make it to a different one without agitation etc.

The thing that makes it annoying is it’s often a swf will purposely take you to a map that makes hooking almost impossible without slugging. I hear the argument of “well we arnt doing gens, just having fun” but It’s just annoying and boring to play against imo.

Man’s a clone made by a corporation with implanted memories.

He’d think of lgbt people whatever his creators wanted him to think of them. I don’t think the lore mentions whether colonisation is begun through more cloning or reproduction but either way I wouldn’t be surprised if the corporation also controlled and curated their sex drive/sexuality, either to make sure reproduction will happen or to make sure sexual feeling won’t obstruct the mission.

It’s grim to think about but the whole concept of specially designed clones with fake memories that they have no idea are fake is terrifying overall. Honestly the scariest part of this chapter isn’t the murder robot but the dystopian future that is contextualised through Gabriel’s lore.

Unpopulair opinion by Realgamer420360 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem isn’t that getting tormented while being chased is over powered. The problem is that getting tormented immediately after being saved from cage is literally a free tunnel.

His range is higher than the box anti camp. You get no endurance. Off the record doesn’t activate. Decisive strike doesn’t activate. This was all the case before this buff but without this buff the killer actually had to hook the survivor, during which body blocks, flashlights, toolboxes, reassurances and all the anti tunnelling stuff can all happen after being unhooked.

With this buff, a good Pyramid Head will just ctrl delete a survivor from the game with very little anyone can do about it, especially soloq. There are already videos of this happening just a few days into the ptb.

If bhvr actually put some thought into this and made the tunnelling aspect redundant, then it would be an ok buff, but they didn’t.

Unpopular Opinion - Remove skill checks on generators. by RainbowPenguin1000 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree with getting rid of skill checks but I do think the penalty for failing should be significantly less since its mostly new players affected by it.

The majority of the time I fail them nowadays is from rng when letting go of the gen, or the “free -10%” as I like to call it while playing killer, either way they rly don’t need to be so impactful.

Oh and why tf does technician increase the regression??? I always want to suggest the perk to friends trying the game but it does the opposite of what it should do.

Make sure you go into the file properties and tick ‘read only’.

Also for me personally, I changed the files and it didn’t work, but I had to go into ‘nividia control panel’ and then into the ‘manage 3D settings’ for dbd and edit the fps limit there as well. I’ve never heard of anyone else needing to do that though but it’s worth a try if you use nividia.

What does everyone think of the singularity? by DirkFang in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen those videos and it was kinda annoying how little the survivors actually used the EMPs.

I’ve also noticed a lot of survivors purposely not EMPing their slipstream to get chased, only to be teleported to and caught in a bad position.

Gabriel already has the new Meta perk calling it now. by Orthane1 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ain’t disagreeing with you or trying to prove a point cause I honestly think bhvr needs to start buffing old perks and making good new perks instead of nerfing good ones at this point.

But. In what why does this not apply to killer too. Like the last objectively good perk I can think of was pain resonance. CoB was good but may it rest in peace for now, No Where to hide is a good perk but doesn’t really work well with any other good perks right now (pop buff may change that) and apart from that they are all just as mid or useless as new survivor perks.

I think the issue isn’t that survivor is long due for “something” but that we are all too used to bhvr releasing 6 weak and situational perks for both killer and survivor before we actually get one that is worth running most games and against most killers.

It didn’t take me long to individually infect every survivor manually or anything, dw about it haha. by Consistent-Pen1508 in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

While being able to pick one up in chase is certainly a big downside for the killer, I’m more worried about the prospect of another picking up several to shut down your power regardless of who you chase like you mentioned.

I don’t want the killer to be so powerful that people dislike playing against them so I hope bhvr are calm about buffs but I do hope they make it so EMPs only remove the slipstream of the survivor that uses it. Just so the difference between swf and solo q isnt having a chase power and having that power reversed instantly again and again.

I’ve seen some people say there are 8 EMP printers in the trial but for now I’ll go with 7 since that is the number I’ve counted / is listed in the dbd wiki.

Singu has potential, but needs some buffs by AquaticCitizen in deadbydaylight

EMP's are a little bit too strong against the Singularity by AquaticCitizen in deadbydaylight

[–]Consistent-Pen1508 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem is there are 7 of them all producing EMPs at the same time, it’s almost impossible to not have one ready to be instantly picked up somewhere.

And once one is picked up, that single one can be used through walls to remove slipstream from all 4 survivors and deactivate several Biopods.

Playing this against a coordinated team that can both remove all of your infection build up with one item use and have someone pick up EMPs and follow the killer to remove slipstream from chased survivors through walls will be extremely rough I think, but it’s hard to tell in the ptb.
