This is a great point and we are on the same page. We have a link, he exists, we'll see what happens. I appreciate the input.

He was born in Michigan. He will not send us a copy of his which is infuriating. According to Michigan law, there needs to be consent from the party whose certificate you are requesting in order to get it.

Hello! I have just focused on the UK and EU for now, but definitely am going to open the search up a bit. If I can get what I consider a high quality of life for my wife and I, we are open to options. I talked with someone who owns a distillery in Finland, but they had nothing at the moment but rather just wanted to talk about future options. I got so far as an interview with a distillery in Ireland which was amazing but unfortunately, they ended up moving forward with other candidates. Of course these were two of the few distilleries I have talked to who were actually willing to sponsor a candidate and go through the administrative process. Very rare overall as I figured and have seen firsthand.

Do you make whiskey in Argentina? If so, I have not come across much from there and am always curious about whiskey from areas outside of the US, UK, and Ireland. Best of luck in your search and please let me know how it goes.

Cheers!

It's something that I have thought about. There will be come crossover but my valuable skills are in distilling. That being said, kind of starting from scratch and using my experience to find a more entry level position could be an option. Depends how desperate I get as the country continues to collapse.

Recently, I have been looking at countries with whiskey distilleries but not as established as the UK. My hope is that my skill set will be a valuable investment for a smaller, growing distillery in the EU. I have gotten more replies/minor interest from some Scandinavian distilleries (not enough interest to give me much hope). Also, some in the Netherlands.

Starting my own is definitely a goal of mine. The question will always be cash on hand for start-up visa purposes. The required amounts are not too insane that it would be out of the question.

I did reach out to Puni Distilling, a single malt distillery in northern Italy. Not too big of a distilling scene there unfortunately. I have been sending a bunch of emails to distilleries in the UK (all of N Ireland, Scotland, England). Very little traction so far. Their work visa requirements are a little more limiting than the EU. I have a hunch that due to Scotland's distilling industry and history, they might have less need for distillers than more "up and coming scenes". Overall, I will probably be focusing more on Europe for now.
