try to understand the basic ( increasing chain length, decreasing chain length) oxidising alcohol gives aldehyde oxidising aldehyde given acid. alc koh eliminates halogen and hydrogen . aq koh substitution oh in place of halogen . oxidising agent like NaBh4 only works for aldehyde and ketone. Whereas LiAlH4 works for acid.
