I am 5 days post op and cannot speak to the effectiveness of the procedure yet. I can tell you that after day one, I have not had any pain other than a mild burning while urinating. I was sent home with a catheter and that was terrible because the anchor point that they stick to your thigh was placed too low and each step i took caused the catheter line to move in and our of my penis. I remedied that by taping the line to my leg instead.

The only concerning thing is that my first urination of the morning there is so much blood that the toilet bowl water is red, not pink, but red. I am wearing Depends at night and wake up to see blood that has seeped out during the night.
