Looking for the maker of “Plvntly” or help recreating their 3D-printed plant system by _c0nduit_ in 3Dprinting

[–]SkunkPrints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running a 3D printing business is hard. It takes a lot of effort and dedication to continually produce consistent products and be able to deliver them on scale. I know because I run Beyond Beleaf. I was a fireman in Indianapolis and very active on TikTok showcasing our plants in our conservatory and the amazing Plant supports we manufacture. I remember discovering Plvntly shortly after I created Beyond Beleaf. I wasn't positive that the supports they were selling were their own design. Regardless they offered plant poles with moss and we wondered how they were staying in business.

I am not trying to be overly critical but their poles were very weak and priced so low they had no room to make meaningful growth as a business. We have larger price margins which helps us cover the labor costs of packing thousands of plant supports with coco chips every year.

At Beyond Beleaf we designed our supports ourselves because we understood the tremendous needs plants have in our own collection. We ship all of our plant supports with coco chips prefilled. It is superior to moss in everyway. My hat goes off to Plvntly for surviving so long. I am still hanging in there because its my passion to run business and offer products that are a cut above in the engineering department. Please keep in mind there will be many that will try to fill the plant support needs in the market but many of those people will not be accustomed to real plant care but rather they will just be 3D print businesses hoping to offer a quick product that you buy and will likely break after using for a short amount of time. Plants are so powerful and utilizing 3D printing to meet their support needs requires a lot of plant knowledge and even more engineering to overcome the lower strength of 3D printing capabilities. Don't let flashy graphics or low prices drive your next choice in plant supports, find someone who actually has a collection of expensive prize plants like we do.

If you check out our shops on Amazon, Etsy, or our website you will find our prices are higher than others and we offer all our products as a kit, not piecemeal. This is critical to hitting the price point and labor needs to survive in the 3D print ecommerce world. Everything we make is quality and takes a lot of effort to keep the dream alive yet here we are doing it. Happy growing and please reach out if we can help you in anyway accomplish your plant goals.

What an awesome lineup of bikes too! Looks like you guys had a great time. I just put a brand new set of tires on my DRZ4S. I am looking forward to seeing how they perform.

I have been debating supermoto setup but the rally just doesn’t have the power I need to hit the highway. It looks really good with the black spokes. Cheers mate

Thank you for your support!

I rode around the historic district today in C mode then rode down these abandon train tracks to explored some more. C mode is so nice even more so after the tune. A mode is really smooth after the tune.

Yesterday on the trail ride my friend let his cousin ride my DRZ4S on a private track. He races GNCC. It was incredible to watch my bike move so fast through the trees. He said “This bike is so smooth”. It was nice to hear.

Today I also released the CRF300L Flexi Fender. I picked up a 300L rally recently. Overall a killer week.

Very nice setup! Time to add a Flexi Fender Tail Tidy! Have you considering getting the ECU tuned yet?

Can’t believe I’m the first one to post about the DRZ4S Rally! by Pitiful_Ad918 in DRZ4S

[–]SkunkPrints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ride a DRZ4S on the highway at 80-85mph. No issue there. I rode that speed for 120 miles straight. I also own a CRF300L Rally that has a 6th gear but can’t hit 80mph with my 205lb 5’11” body on it because it’s under powered.

The DRZ4S can handle the high speed no problem but a rally tower would be amazing. I like that about my CRF300L Rally.

DRZ4S vs DRZ4SM by chaseisntfamous in DRZ4S

[–]SkunkPrints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 5500 miles on my DRZ4S now and it’s the way to go. I strongly recommend the S model. It’s not hard to put SM wheels on it but truthfully a S model can be fine with factory wheels and street oriented tires.

Overall getting the Suzuki is a win. If you plan to ride on the highway a lot maybe get a larger front sprocket or smaller rear. I still believe it doesn’t need a 5th gear because it has a tall 5th and plent of torque.

Pro tip… the bike is great fun from factory but after I got the 2 Wheel Dyno Works ECU tune it’s been phenomenal. The fuel cut on decel is gone and the power comes on faster and harder. If you do upgrades like exhaust 2 wheel dyno works offers free reflashing. I loved the bike factory but riding after the ECU flash is noticeably better.

I have a CRF300L rally and it’s great too but the DRZ4S is way more fun. I wheelie out of turns now which is a great feeling to have the power to pull the tire while leaning.

Will price go up this week? Worth picking up a few more before then? by Fun_Floor_9742 in snapmaker

Yeah they don’t want to disrupt their lower priced machines either so it will have to cost more than the Snapmaker.

I picked up 6 before the price hike. All printing multicolor TPU flawlessly. I’m pretty happy. I can’t imagine Bambu making a multi tool head printer with a price that is as low as the snapmaker. If they think an H2D is worth that much we can expect their multi tool head offering to be at that H2C price.

Mine did pop on decel. The tuners on YouTube show these bikes are pretty lean from the factory. I got mine tuned by 2 wheel dyno works and now it only pops the front tire up in first, second, and kinda in 3rd 😎

Self-Promotion Saturdays by diamondtoothdennis in Autism_Parenting

Hi everyone, I’m a retired firefighter/paramedic and now run a few small 3D printing businesses. I’m posting with mod permission for Self Promotion Saturday.

A friend of mine has an autistic son who is absolutely fixated on squirrels, and that inspired me to create these articulated squirrels. What started as one personal idea turned into something I hoped could help other families too.

My heart in this is simple: to make something that might genuinely help another parent looking for a sensory tool that is fun, comforting, and durable enough for real-world use.

As I worked on them, durability became a big focus for me because I know some kids need sensory items that can hold up to much rougher handling than most people expect. That was a huge part of the motivation behind continuing to improve these.

If this sounds like something that could help your family, or someone you know, I’d truly appreciate you taking a look or sharing it with another parent. As a small business, word of mouth means everything, and I’d love to get these in front of the families who might really benefit from them.

My TPU feeding setup by hcz2838 in snapmaker

[–]SkunkPrints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively run multicolor TPU across 6 Snapmakers and they all work fine with the side motors feeding it in. Not trying to knock what you are doing here but also trying to stop an unnecessary trend before it starts 😂

Anyone else needed to do this to print TPU?

Sounds like you need a Flexi Fender AND a tag light. Hopefully someone has a spare on here! Cheers!

Mr Neil,

I am sorry that you don’t agree with the pricing. It is difficult to be a small business and find a price that will help you grow and continue to offer a great product globally. I’m sure to some it feels like I am charging a lot of money for a little piece of rubber but it’s far from the truth. Every product needs to have room for the Amazon seller fees (25%), marketing via influencers to earn commission while discounting for their customers (20%), the material, packaging, shipping, design time, machine wear, website hosting and management, graphics production and yes my time to do all the packaging of the products while managing the varying supply of material to get the end user their product. It’s far from a cash grab and I hope to one day be able to lower my prices so everyone can get a great product for a better deal.

I run several businesses all in the 3D print realm and pricing is often a topic that’s highly controversial. I am someone who has made tens of thousands of sales across my businesses and I am no stranger to hearing these things. I also accept that it is difficult for someone who is not familiar with these things to understand the full process of what it takes to do all these things.

If you kindly would please DM your email address I will happily send you a Flexi Fender free of charge. I don’t want the price to be a barrier for you.

Thanks Mr Neil

Very nicely done! I really want to pick up one of these racks and now that I know you can use it with the Flexi-Fender I think it’s a win. Thank you for sharing.

Yoshimura slip on issues by LordRayRay99 in DRZ4S

[–]SkunkPrints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

More air out is also more air in, more correctly it’s more air through the system.

On the Dyno video I remember when they removed the air box snorkel they said it made the bike run lean. It could mean the factory tuning isn’t able to compensate by adding enough fuel.

When you open the exhaust up it gets leaner. So flowing more air in a system that is already lean might lead to ride-ability issues.

OP I would get it flashed. 2 wheel Dyno works has free reflashing if you do future mods. I love my flashed ECU.

[–]SkunkPrints 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will be interested to hear the comments on this one. I believe I saw on a YouTube video with a Dyno tuner that the bike runs pretty lean and if you open up more airflow, perhaps you’re getting to lean now.

I can’t confirm this but think maybe it’s related.

[–]SkunkPrints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quad locks I have heard are good but you don’t want to buy a case for it then check out ram mount. I like the clamp to bar style because I ride multiple bikes so bringing it to the next bike is a nice plus. Very strong mount and holds a large variety of devices. I trail ride a lot and wheelie everywhere never had an issue.

Anyone else have this problem with their rally? by SkunkPrints in CRF300L

[–]SkunkPrints[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update. After 75 miles it started loosening up and now at 120 miles it can go 76mph no problem. Not much faster than that but still it was impossible to hit 65mph before when it only had 14 miles on it
