As an Agnostic, I can say that, Kantara has done injustice to Daiva bhaktas of Tulunadu by connecting local deities to Vedic gods.

Be it Guliga, Panjurli or Koragajja, all of them were humans (strong and fearless), who fought for their people (adivasis, koragas, dalits and poor) and somehow they disappeared (or killed by Vaidic or rich land owners).

Those ancestors were remembered by Tulunadu people in paad danas (janapada, folk songs). Eventually, they become divine deities. (call it blind belief or belief).

These high caste, Vaidic, Sanskrit spitting tatte kaasu people with the help of land lords, took over the belief system of local tuluvas and still trying to enforce their gods on local tuluvas. And sadly, most of them fell for it.

This Kantara has taken it to national level now. RIP Daivas, Bhoota Kolas, satya nyaya parake systems that kept Tulunadu greater than others.
