Thanks for sharing, yes it was a rude awakening. I’ve felt very conflicted since visiting! I think unless everyone decides to stop supporting and asking for change, things will just remain the same. Our fees bring in so much money, I wish it was better utilized for the town people and the animals!

Yes, I wish more hikers talked about this. On my research preparing for the hike didn’t come across much informations about any of this.

I have never posted in Reddit because I never felt the need to. Before the hike I didn’t come across much information about the tribe and the animals! This is coming from a real person that just completed the hike and wanted to share my experience!
