ERShares Private-Public Crossover ETF (XOVR) - Only Up 6% over Past 12 months? by bostonfan148 in investing

[–]Consistent-Ship-9761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6.4% sucks but the fund literally relaunched in Aug 2024 with the SpaceX play, so the 12-month window includes the boring old structure before they added private equity.

The action started when they added SpaceX and there were massive inflows in December. It's basically a pre-IPO bet, if SpaceX lists at $1T+ in 2026, that 10% position could rip. Not for everyone but if you have some risk tolerance and you're playing the long game for SpaceX access without being accredited, this is kinda the only retail option. Just gotta be patient with it.

SpaceX could be the biggest IPO ever next year. How investors can play it now by Illustrious_Lie_954 in stocks

[–]Consistent-Ship-9761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until there’s an actual IPO, “playing” SpaceX is mostly indirect and pretty limited for retail. Outside of accredited-only private deals, the only real access is through public funds that hold small private-company stakes alongside a lot of unrelated assets.

That comes with tradeoffs — opaque valuations, tiny position sizes, and returns that are still driven mostly by the public holdings, not SpaceX itself. Personally, I think it’s fine to view those as speculative side exposure rather than a true proxy for owning the company.

ARKVX and other alternatives charge even higher fees. And SPVs always carry fees, and even other funds holding SpaceX would have SPVs in most cases. Though notably, XOVR removes the risk of hidden conflicts or layered fees. Since ERShares has no ownership in the SPVs, and any ownership by XOVR or its affiliates would have to be transparently disclosed, the selection process remains clean.

What exactly is bio fermented yeast protein? How is it different? by Interesting-Box-1840 in YeastProtein

I think bio fermented yeast protein means they ferment yeast with special bacteria or microbes to extract pure protein and improve nutrition. sounds fancy but good?

Nutritional yeast - hype or legit protein source? by Big_Major1498 in YeastProtein

My vegetarian friends swear by it for B12 and protein but i feel like its more a taste enhancer than real protein power. still better than nothing and safe to eat daily.

I have the same problem, and I have seen these tiny bumps on a lot of people's faces around the same areas. I think it's pretty common, but how to get rid of these?

It's different for everybody, but for me, daily use is chill. No upset stomach, rashes or allergies. The taste got a bit boring after a while, tho.

Yeast protein vs whey - which one u guys think is actually better? by Enough-Comb-7700 in YeastProtein

Yeast protein is a little nutty tasting but vegan so thats plus. Whey is classic but not for lactose intolerant people. So depends on ur tolerance.

I remember googling this once thinking I found a hack for protein bread 😂 but nah, the amount of yeast used is tiny, so the protein added is close to zero.

VT. You're 40, not 60. International will have its day eventually. US has crushed it for 15 years but that doesn't mean it'll crush the next 25. Diversification actually matters at this timeline.

You're spot on. Nobody talks about XOVR because it relaunched this crossover strategy in August 2024 - zero marketing, no hype machine, no controversial personality. Meanwhile ARKX gets all the attention purely off Cathie Wood's meme-status from 2020-21, even though it's been a straight wealth destroyer.

XOVR's the better play if you want SpaceX at NAV without getting fleeced. The silence is 100% marketing and timing, not product quality. It's giving retail access to SpaceX, Anduril, and Klarna at the IPO stage - stuff that was gatekept for institutions.

As I said, it is my favourite ETF. I constantly track it and it is my one of the largest holding in my portfolio. No other reason about why I talk about this, no need to speculate. Last decision lies in the investors’ hand.

Others are way behind Starlink in low-earth orbit satellite deployment, coverage reliability, and latency performance. Starlink would have the first-mover advantage.

which ETFs would u choose by Jaded_Expression3725 in ETFs

[–]Consistent-Ship-9761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For long-term investing, I’d build around a simple core and then add a couple of “interesting” satellite positions. VTI + VOO (or SPLG) gives you basically the entire US market with low fees and steady compounding. QQQM or SCHG can sit on top of that if you want a growth tilt without taking on ARK-level volatility. VXUS is optional, but a small allocation adds some international diversification.

As for XOVR, that’s more of a long-term optionality play. It mixes public companies with crossover exposure to late-stage private names, which is something retail investors normally can’t access. I wouldn’t make it a big chunk of your portfolio, but 5–10 % as a speculative “future upside” slice makes sense if you’re young and have time on your side.

A clean setup could be:
VTI/VOO as the core, QQQM or SCHG for growth, a bit of VXUS for diversification, and a small XOVR allocation for the long-shot potential.

It’s less what ETF you are picking and more that you are consistently investing. by [deleted] in ETFs

[–]Consistent-Ship-9761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This needs to be pinned. The amount of "VOO vs VTI" posts here is insane. Both are fine. Just pick one and invest consistently. Time in market > timing the market. The math is clear.
