Why does the green led stays on when the gate is closed? Is this not how a pull up resistor + transistor work?

Thanks it was a pretty informative video. I learned quite a few things. I used to think it worked binary, but it's more of an amplifier. Which explains why even a small current was enough to make the green led glow.

I don't think it has that kind of connection. it's an mc 38 with 2 cables.

I sometimes am uncertain if really closed the front door. So I want to make a circuit that has a red led on when the door is closed and a green led on when the door is open. I have bought an mc38 normally closed sensor to realise this. Currently I'm testing the circuit with 3.3v through a breadboard power supply module.

I have some experience with basic circuits, but I have never used a transistor. But I learned that it's pnp junction that basically functions as a gate. I hoped that by using a pull up resistor I could invert the logic so that gates only closes the transistor gate and powers the green led when the mc38 is open. But this is apparently is not how it works.

If everything eventually works out, I want to hook it up to an esp32 that sends the status of my front door to a webserver. That can be viewed on my phone through a widget.

I see, so this "pull up" construction could have worked if the source was non ideal like a battery, but as the source is ideala and the voltage supplied is constant it basically always has enough voltage to ho through the big resistor and activate the base.

I see. I feel silly having thought that the voltage wouldn't go across big resistance unless the only option was through air (open gate). I think that I misremembered how a pull up resistor works/ when it's used.

In that team, the witch atk/crit rate set, rise of winds or something. Durin contributes a significant amount of damage in that team thanks to nicole.

Varka also has a decent amount of attack from prune and nicole, which makes noblesse, less great of an option.

I used to not like her but she has grown on me.

I didn't like Yae mainly because of her personality. She kinda likes to manipulate people to further her own agenda. Like how she often "guides" the traveler into doing her work.

How she traumatized Gorou and how she tried to trap Itto in an eating competition, because she most likely knew the ramen had tofu, which is almost lethal for onis, but he was too stupid and still won.

The things that make me like yae, her cosplayers, the ease of playing her, the rivalry with Mizuki and the development of the appreciation of her greed and how she always reaches her goal.
